Pros: Great all round service

Pros: Nothing else but a very friendly lady called Sonia who saved the day for us

Cons: When we arrived, they did not have a car for us and we had to wait. More than an hour later we went back for the 7th time from the back desk to the front desk and we we helped by Sonia. Everyone but Sonia were super unfriendly, did not look in our direction, did not communicate with us, etc. The car was bad because it had a very bad vibration on the steering wheel at 100km/h. We did not want to drive it because it was not safe. This was the worst experience ever at a Car rental company. We rent

Pros: Nothing. They propose me an alternative car, much smaller, with a crazy price.

Cons: Hi lost my reservation due to my mistake, selecting (and paying) the car one day before my arrival at the airport. No one contacted me to say this and when I was there, the Firefly told me that my car was no more available, even if I took a reservation for my entire travel + 1 day more. Totally disappointed about the management of my reservation, after months, from Discover Cars and from Firefly.

Cons: Where you pick up the vecicle the light is poor to inspect the vehicle and there is limited space around the vehicle. So dents cant be identified. When you drop off the vehicle there is space and lots of light. Now two deductions have been made from my account without any communication. This is poor and against the terms and conditions of the contract.

Pros: Tire pressure light kept on popping up even though the tires were good.

Pros: Gadi,the Hertz representative was great.His service together with his kind and gentle approach was heartwarming.The kind of guy which you want to go back to anytime of the day.Huge chapeau to him!

Cons: The wait for getting the car was long. When it arrived they said there was no damage, that it had already been checked, but I observed and reported damage. Now at the end of the return, they have managed to find additional minor damage (unsurprising considering road conditions in RSA) and they must be trying to cover the cost of repairing the old damage and the new. Seems the insurance I bought is not worth anything? Additionally...the car has no back-up camera, and is terribly underpowered.

Pros: the car was good, quite new. I had to change the car as the tire got damaged and this was done very quickly. Good service overall. On picking up the car the staff were very careful to note all the damages already on the car.

Cons: I dropped the car off at the airport and the lady didn't do a careful a job at inspecting the car, I had to convince her to do it with me so we both know the car is ok. In the end I didn't sign off everywhere I had to (I realised this afterwards) as the lady only said to sign in one place (I should have signed in 2 places). Money was taken off my account at random times, after asking what the charges were for it takes a long time to get the confirming documents.

Pros: We made a mistake with our booking but Coutney helped us exceptionally well. She reopend the office after 23:00 to assist. Hats off and a great thanks to Courtney at OR Tambo

Cons: Drop of was chaotic. Didn’t received any documents on paper or mail from company. Almost impossible to reach them to ask copy of the documents. No mailaccount - online chatbox gives no added value .

Cons: Needed to provide info on how tolls were to be charged ,, and as there was no toll tag , you had to pay manually going through certain toll gates.

Cons: The Full Cover package was not actually a Full Cover deal as stated on your site when I made the booking.

Cons: Rude and unwilling to help. After a long flight, we were immediately told that the £30 paid was a booking fee and NOT a deposit. They then claimed that they didn’t have wifi so we could show them the booking. They have since taken two more payments, albeit a nominal sum for reasons unknown. They also wanted £900 damage waiver which is not returnable for 21 days. This is completely unacceptable in a digital age. They are quick to take the money but not to return it. Will never use again.

Cons: It was a 2 stage process. Once at the office outside the garage and then again in the garage. They gave us the wrong key and it was a long walk back and forth. Then on return of the car in the virtual pitch dark they pointed out tiny marks on the windscreen which if they were done during driving in Jhb is not surprising given the environment. The deposit of R18500 is still being helf on my credit card and its more than 2 weeks later.

Pros: Your contract was not a back to back contract and left me in a very procarious position for the duration of my trip, I will feel more relaxed when my deposit is refunded.

Cons: They were very efficient and told me the difference between there contract and my contract, gave me my options which at that stage I was forced to take, luckily the car was new and comfortable, and eased my frustration of initial surprises at time of hire.
