Carwiz at Tambo International Airport

Pros: The airport meet and greet was easy , the rep from carwiz was very friendly and polite, the whole process was very smooth

Pros: The car drop off was easy . Friendly agent at drop off and inspected the car with me at drop off .

Cons: The pick up was a bit of a walk to get it . But was made easy with the staff

Pros: Nothing, totally dishonest from start to finish.

Cons: Invoice to sign pre rental was more than R4000 more than Han agreed, once challenged they corrected, then no copy of paperwork given at pick up, damage report was incomplete, took 1.5 hrs to pick car up, no reply to any queries, took deposits in full instead of pre authorise like every other company. Refused to send an agent to check car back in while I was still there. This company is clearly in the business of finding ways to take people's deposits or charge extra hidden fees. Deplatform them.

Cons: Not taking a hold on my credit card, but DEDUCTING nearly £800 was really terrible. I've never seen this practice before, it really should be changed. The transaction was also charged as a "cash" which caused my credit card company to charge me a 4% advance fee. This should really be investigated and changed.

Cons: Trying to find the drop off point, very unclear. Also the car smelt of smoke.

Cons: I went to YOLO coffee and waited for person to rent car from, didn't see them, and then messaged via whatsapp, then someone came to meet me. Just a little confusing, I would have been fine with instructions to just meet at the far end of Terminal B departures outside.

Pros: Everything was perfect and as described. We encountered no issues at all. The pickup was smooth and the condition of the car was exellent. The dropoff couldn't have been smoother, we parked right outside the airport terminal entrance and handed the keys to the attendant.

Cons: The guy that met us, Wiseman, was rather disorganized and a bit dodgy, trying to sell us the upgrade to the full insurance cover - after I made it very clear over and over that it wasn't required/needed. The pick-up situation made me feel uncomfortable.

Cons: No final check and sign off which has left me uncertain about whether I will still be billed for something inconsequential. Took photos and kept refueling bills as a precaution.

Cons: In 4 days they did nothing about the 2 tyres that were in need of repair. It was very stressfull for us and limited our ability to enjoy the Kruger Park as we no longer dared to risk the gravel roads.

Cons: When pointing out the canopy is not secured, he said it is a maintenance issue and there is nothing he can do about it. and it was after hours and there was no one around. I had to tighten it myself.

Cons: Deposit charge was charged to my card which required a refund, which is fine (as I have done this before) but at drop-off First Parking (another company) collected the car, provided no paperwork, were unable to do a car check that the vehicle was returned as received and hence I am in the dark until they email, if I will even receive my refund. If there is a dispute, it will be 2 days after the delivery, so will be hard to prove or disprove as anything. 1st parking could damage it between then.

Pros: Car was cheapest of all the car rentals at the airport and was clean and tidy when i picked it up.

Cons: There was no one from Carwiz waiting to greet me at the airport arrivals as promised. After waiting 20-30 mins and making two phone calls I asked one of the airport staff to take me to the rental company desk which is in the car park some distance away.

Cons: It was a terrible service... Had to use help from a taxi driver to locate the person who was allocated to fetch the car... When fetching the assistant kept my driver's license causing me stress... The assistant knew she had my driver's license but no attempts was made to return my license... I had to continue phoning her until she answered... She still didn't tell me she has it with her... I had to use my fuel to drive back to the airport just to go look for my license at Pace info counter...

Cons: Over an hour wait and 2 telephone calls before the meet and greet arrived. Security deposit was actually charged to my card rather than held pending. 10 days before it is credited back. Nobody to check the car on return. If it’s damaged between me dropping it off and them picking it up I’d have a fight to prove it and they already have my money.

Cons: The agency (Pace) were in inefficient and gave us the wrong model vehicle and we had to go to their head office resulting in a 3hr delay. Eventually receiving the vehicle we had booked.
