We traveled on mostly main roads to/from towns on Milos. Some of the streets in the villages were very narrow and challenging -but worth the momentary anxiety. We loved exploring by car -the main roads were in excellent shape. Moreover, we have found drivers in Greece to be patient, and traffic law-abiding. They do not honk their horns out of impatience! How refreshing!

It is definitely good to have a way to get around Milos. It is a small island and things are not far at all if you have the convenience of a vehicle. We recommend getting the smallest car possible.

With my first Greece trip, I am happy that I rent a car for it. I could explore the whole island and go whenever or wherever I want to go. It’s totally worth it and for a solo female traveler, it’s also safer. I love it!

Every beach big beach is worth exploring, the further you go the more surprising and beautiful the landscape! For food, Vlahos had a great vibe and fresh flavours! Yialos was worth every penny, best meal of the vacation with excellent service!

Sarakiniko beack, Firiplaka beach was great! A little windy but the sun made up for it. Recommendations from locals on places to eat (Dom's was amazing!), walking around Plaka, chatting it up with a restaurant owner about why there are so many cats in Milos, friendly locals, great sunsets. Stayed in a renovated/updated syrma in Agios Komstantinos. Amazing location! Picturesque, quiet and close to everything by car. I would love to return to Milos when all of the restaurants I want to try are open.

With the car it was so easy to travel around the island and visit all the beautiful beaches Milos has to offer. From Sarakiniko, Tsigrado, Firiplaka, Firopotamos as well as Plaka for a gorgeous sunset.
