Car Rental in Broome

Why rent a car in Broome?

Serving as the gateway to the region of Kimberley, Broome is one of the most interesting — and remote — destinations in Australia. Broome is not only some 2,000 km (1,240 miles) north of the state capital, Perth, but some 5,000 km (3,106 miles) from Sydney (by road) — for reference, that’s about the same distance as from Moscow to Madrid or New York City to Mexico City. Despite its extreme isolation, the region has plenty to offer for visitors, not least its otherworldly landscapes, beautiful beaches, and aboriginal art. With a rental car, the opportunities for exploring are limitless.

Top ways to enter Broome

Broome Airport: With about 400,000 travelers traveling through it each year, this is the main airport of the region. Most of the flights are to and from Perth, but the airport also offers connections with Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Singapore (albeit, many only on a seasonal basis). Located just 2 km (1.2 miles) north of Broome’s center, the airport can be reached in about five minutes.

The sheer force of the powerful tidal change creates breathtaking vertical walls of water, soaring up to 5 meters in height on either side. As you make your way deeper into their power, take in the stunning scenery around you too - turquoise bays, sweeping canyons and sheer geological formations which have remained unchanged for thousands of years.
• Broome Courthouse Markets. Nestled in the historic Broome Courthouse Gardens, the Broome open-air markets bring together an exciting array of local vendors.
