• Perot Museum of Nature and Science. One of the most interesting in all of Texas, the Perot Museum covers the topics of science, natural history, and imagination. From a skeleton of the Tyrannosaurus Rex to dioramas of Texas ecosystems, interactive prosthetic hand, and a planetarium, this museum is a fun place to visit for the whole family. • Arts District. Located in the northern part of Downtown Dallas, this is the most sophisticated part of the city – and also one of its most interesting. As suggested by the name, the concentration of cultural venues is really high, with the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Park, and Moody Performance Hall as some of the most notable places to visit.
• Cedar Hill State Park. Located just southwest of downtown (and southeast of Arlington and Fort Worth), Cedar Hill is one of the nicest parks in the Dallas metropolitan area. Situated along one of the banks of the Joe Pool Lake, it is the perfect place to see the limestone escarpment landscape characteristic of Northeast Texas, as well as see some of the more than 200 bird species that nest here. There is also the Agricultural History Center, which features reconstructions of several traditional farms.

Terminals

The five airport terminals are A, B, C, D or the international terminal, and E. All five are linked by the airport train called Skylink, and also by Terminal link, a shuttle bus with stops on the upper level of each terminal.

Location

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport is about 22 miles (35 km) from Dallas and about 24 miles (38 km) from Fort Worth. Motorways TX-114 and 353E are the main roads connecting the airport to Dallas.

Nearest gas station

There is a Shell station right by the rental car return at DFW. It should be no surprise that prices at this station are significantly higher than elsewhere in the area. But you could fill up earlier and use the station as a place to top off at before returning your vehicle.
