• Arthur’s Seat. Sitting in the beautiful Holyrood Park just a short walk from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile is Arthur’s Seat. As the highest point in the park, you get amazing views of Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill and the spires dotted across the city.The remains of a volcano, this walk is well worth doing for active travellers.
• Museum of Childhood. It is often claimed that this is the first museum in the world to focus specifically on the topic of childhood, and whether it is true or not, this museum is definitely one of the most interesting attractions of Edinburgh. With diverse and interactive expositions that will be interesting to both children and adults, the museum explains what growing up in Britain has been like over the last few centuries.
