Cons: Trying to spring additional insurance on me on pickup of the car at Enterprise, which I already contracted via Discovery. The car had a scrape when I picked it up and if I hadn’t seen it myself just after driving off the lot when parked in the sun and taken a picture off that would have resulted in a claim against me.

Cons: the Car seats were wet. We didn't realise until we got to a family event. We had to go and buy new trousers and underwear. When we returned the car Nicki the agent at Alamo said she would arrange a refund. We have not hear back yet.

The car was comfortable. 5. They offer an extra Service of paying a really small price (2€) in order for us to return the car without the same fuel.

Cons: 1. The car was dirty inside. Not at the point you don't want to sit in it, but there was little mud on the inside of the door. 2. And some lets say "Bad" experience Was from the side of discovercars. We had booked an full coverage (insurance) from the Plattform of discovercars and when we arrived at the desk to take the car they informed us that if we will have an accident we have to pay first the amount and the claim it on discovercars to take it.But this is not clear when we book the full cov

Pros: Everyone at Alamo was very nice and they took their time to explain everything of the rental contract in detail, which is very nice to have.

Cons: The condition of the car was marked with the information (Perfekt/without any damage). The car was not perfectly cleaned. There were some stains in the car, like on the rear seats and the floor mats in the front. I mean, it was ok, but could have been better. The main problem was the many dents and scratches around the car with I have noticed be just walking around the car and the wiper blades which definitely have seen better day (they were loud and don’t wipe water very well.

Cons: It took about 45 minutes standing in line in order to get to the counter to transact my rental. Having said that, there were six or seven employees working to fulfill customers rental requirements. It was just a busy time.

Pros: The service and the car were amazing. The staff (Katie and Robbie) were very nice and professional. The car new and in perfect condition. Both pick up and drop off smooth and fast. Definitely recommend, next time I will be using them again!

Cons: The deposit held is actually debited from the card and then supposedly credited back. That's not how it is supposed to work.. the amount must only be blocked from the credit limit for use.. this is what happens elsewhere unfortunately not in Alamo's case

Pros: Easy check-in/out. There was a long queue waiting for rental cars at Edinburgh Airport. Returning the car was fast.

Pros: They had a card with various shapes and sizes on it and explained that we would only be charged for certain damages if they were larger than the specifics of the card. Different areas of the car corresponded to different shapes or sizes on the card. It was very helpful to have a visual and reassuring when learning to drive on the other side of the road. They provided roadside service in their basic rental prices. Staff was wonderful to deal with!

Pros: Excellent help from the two Edinburgh University students. Katriona on dropping off and the male student who sorted out a replacement car when we identified a rapidly deflating tyre.

Cons: The need to stand in the freezing cold at the Alamo kiosk with thirty or more others waiting for their vehicles. All well and good to check people at the main area, but to send them out to stand in the cold with a Northerly wind blowing is not right.

Pros: Great service despite the pick up delays. Appreciated the refund on extra driver insurance. Efficient & friendly check in & out by the same excellent staff member - thanks

Pros: All of the agents were great and soooooo sweet! The guy that we dropped the car off to was wonderful!

Cons: I had to wait quite a while, about 1.5-2 hours, so collect my car. I think because it was the week before a bank holiday weekend maybe? The staff were great though, poor things were trying so hard, there were just too many people and it wasn’t ideal the company put them in that position.

Cons: Having paid for car hire at the desk When collecting the key and the car I did not expect to be told any damage would cost me 1200 pounds and I could pay another 300 pounds for extra insurance. People collecting cars have just come off an aeroplane, tired but anticipating their holiday, wishing to be away, not being told how much more they will be charged for any possible damage - this on for a car with 36000+ miles on the clock.
