• Boboli Gardens. A historic and beautiful park, Boboli Gardens were originally created by the legendary Medici dynasty. Its 4.5 hectares (or 11 acres) are made up not only of greenery, but also hills, grottoes, nymphaeums, and garden temples. A great place for a long and relaxing day outside, the park is also home to the Pitti Palace and an amphitheatre.

The airport is about 8 km (5 miles) from the city center. Viale Alessandro Guidoni, Via Enrico Forlanini, Viale Francesco Redi, and Autoway SS67 are the main roads connecting Florence Airport to the city.

Most are located in a building called Palagio degli Spini, which is next to the airport. It can be reached by a free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes.
