TopCar at Fuerteventura Airport

Pros: Booked a small car and had a very new looking Honda i10. Car went really well and was very good on fuel. Pick up took less than 10 minutes and drop off the same. Car was in tge airport Car park directly opposite the terminal. Couldn't fault them really.

Pros: Smooth service. Usually quick.

Cons: Long queue to collect car. probably bad timing. And popular company.

Pros: Drop off was fast and easy. Quality of the child booster seats was good. The car was clean.

Cons: Took too long to collect the car. I want to use my own 3rd party insurance. Quality of the car was poor and damaged.

Pros: The service was quick and easy. The car was great, just what we needed. It was clean modern and very nice to drive.

Cons: IlA minor issue but I had to pay by card rather than the cash I'd already got.

Pros: The car was low mileage and outwardly in good condition.

Cons: They took a 900 euro deposit on pickup. Most companies have just blocked the deposit. Nobody available at pickup point. The car was not completely clean. The headlights on dip were not very effective. As we picked up the car at night it made the 30 minute drive to hotel difficult. There was no water in windscreen wash which we found out in a sandstorm and had to wash windscreen from a water bottle.

Pros: TopCar are ALWAYS on the ball when it comes to satisfying their customers. And are quick to resolve issues.

Cons: Agent tried to sell me insurance second time - i bought online already but she said I can get insurance again for £6 per day and it will help with claim as I booked via broker. She/agent also said that deposit through Amex will be blocked up to 6 months but it was freed second day after check out... There was no car body marks on the paperwork... I took video but car is in dark spot so it is hard to film it...

Cons: Not providing written confirmation that the car was returned with no further charge and the credit card deposit refund wasn't processed in front of me or a slip provided I just had to trust them and leave without any proof which doesn't sit well with me given some previous car hire issues with refunding deposits.

Cons: Despite there being no obvious drop off area shown and a member of the Topcar staff asked me if I was dropping the car off when I parked it, I was told at the office by another staff member that I hadn't parked the car in the correct place when I dropped it off

Cons: Car was very dirty (Dusty) inside and out on pick up, we now realise that fuerteventura is a rather dusty place however could have still had someone go over it before we were given the keys (will attach a photo that was taken as we picked the hire car up).

Cons: Car provided was of sub-standard quality. Previous damage to 5 panels on car led to a feeling of poor quality vehicle being provided. After complaining and returning the car for a replacement the alternative vehicles (2) were of equally poor condition.

Pros: No hard sell on taking out the full insurance which we always do direct with the actual hire company and not the agent. Given a choice of 2 different cars to pick. Full to full tank and 1 extra driver included.

Cons: No one came to do a check over with us at pick up so we personally took photos of the dings and marks on the car. Luckily the hand over at drop off was fine.

Pros: Top Car Service Agents at the pick up location were excellent. Multi-lingual, helpful and very friendly. This is key to excellent customer service! At the start of your holiday, picking up your hire car is probably the 2nd most stressful situation after catching your flight and Top Car agents made this so easy! Thank you guys!!

Cons: I ordered a VW Tiguan ( because of headroom when entering the vehicle as I have fused neck vertebrae that prevent me from bending my neck) I was given a Toyota RAV 4 instead. This does not have the required headroom when entering the vehicle and caused a great deal of pain when entering and exiting the vehicle)

Cons: Slow queue at airport for registration and car pick up. Wrong bay number given to me so got into the wrong car and wondered why the key didn't fit very! Persistant rattle in the car which we couldn't find the source of!

Cons: The car had a few bumps and grazes upon collection. These are not recorded and you have to trust that an issue will not be made of them upon return. This WAS NOT problematic, but could be with a less reputable company.
