Cons: Our car was scratched on the rear wheel arch but we only saw the vehicle after signing a contact which confirmed the car was undamaged. I took some photos and informed the agent who made a note on the system. This did not present a problem but I was concerned this might not have been the case. I was also disappointed that my card was charged the refundable security deposit, rather than a hold placed on the card. I understand this will be refunded but this could take up to 30 days. Bad form!

The front desk agent seemed new and asked for our passports and driving licence 5 times, and it took a very long time. Not as efficient as other places. Cons: RECORD GO ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF. Tried to sell us excess insurance even though we had purchased this with discovercars. When we returned the car they checked it over said it was all OK. When we got home get an email saying because there was a little beach sand in the car they TOOK AN EXTRA 95 Euros for cleaning even though the car hire for seven days was only 107 Euros, a job that would take 15 minutes with a vacuum cleaner. TOTAL RIP OFF !

Pros: Incredibly easy, friendly fast service. Their shuttles were waiting when we arrived (unlike Leasys where we had to wait an hour). They had multiple reps available for checkin so no waiting.

Cons: What really let the service down is that, on return, they said the interior had two munch sand and crumbs and we had to drive off and find a garage to clean the interior rather than just using the vacuum at the returns place. If we wanted to use their vacuum we would be charged 90 euros!

Cons: The record-go employee that attended us at the pick up seems to be a little unprofessional and she was not very thoughtful. She was even rolling her eyes when some questions were made. Although this not so good first contact, on the drop off, the guy that attended us was very thoughtful. We was there working alone but always keeping calm and professional.

Pros: on returning the car the agent was very helpful. He also stated that they knew all about the excisiting damage to the car! yet we were advised it was undamaged on collection! Would NOT recommend Record-go car hire.

She also claimed the car was immaculate, yet on checking the car it had muliple dents, scratches and damage underneath th car, when we questioned this all that was said repeatedly was take photos and video's, no one was interested. The whole experience was stressful, the staff were unhelpful and kept repeating the same comments. it was a most unpleasent start to our holiday.

Cons: As with all car rental companies, you ambush the customer with the "inevitable" comprehensive insurance cost (in this case €72 for 3 days). I know it makes good sense, but you guys ALWAYS ambush the customer at the last minute when picking up the car. Why not, tell us about the cost when booking it.... then at least we wont leave with the car, having the feeling of been "ambushed" and therefore leaving a bad taste in our mouth.
