Cons: I will never ever book with Goldcar again. When we collected the car, we did the check round of it with a member of staff and agreed the marks that were on it. This was all noted down on the sheet. But, when we returned the car, the person who checks it went straight to the driver's side front bumper and felt UNDERNEATH the bumper to find a scratch he clearly knew was there.

Cons: Still not had my refund for fuel on my card . Understand money is usually held on card not charged . But have been charged . Too note tried to sell comprehensive insurance etc at extortionate rate . Your charges are much better.

Pros: Sim, apenas no aeroporto tive de andar à procura do transporte da Goldcar. O seguro contra danos próprios é demasiado caro.

Cons: Não gostei do serviço da Discovercars, porque deram-me um valor de aluguer com o seguro incluído e depois paguei outra vez na Goldcar. Ou seja, paguei duas vezes! Têm de escolher melhor os vossos parceiros!

Cons: from the very beginning they tried to extra charge us, despite we had already everything covered. the contract was wrong in three hours delay, it read 4h earlier upon arrival, and also 4h earlier for delivery so they charged us. as we were dropping the car the days they charged for a “damage” but it was just the tyres were used. they tried to be nice and said they would charge just one of the costs, but we filed in a claim

Pros: nothing. they charge for everything they can, including charges i've never seen with any other company. $$$ is first, customer service last.

Cons: "total" cost ended up being 5+ TIMES web price. hidden fees were outrageous. 65€ for not having 4 yrs on license? i've been driving for 20 years. car was dirty & smelled of cigarettes. car already had extensive damage, but I was blamed and fined for tiny scratch in damage's proximity. look at their google reviews. no one should engage with this company. totally ruined an otherwise blissful vacation.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 2300.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications, Environmental Contribution fee, State Tax.
Mileage policy
Mileage is limited in Madrid, Sevilla, Malaga, Sancti Petri, Alicante, Barcelona, Valencia, San Juan, Torrevieja, Denia, Benidorm, Cadiz – Sancti Petri & Aguilas, Cordoba, Malaga, Zaragoza, Pamplona.
For rentals lasting 1 to 3 days, mileage is limited to 350 km per day.
For rentals lasting 4 to 6 days, mileage is limited to 250 km per day.
For rentals lasting 7 to 14 days, mileage is limited to 150 km per day.
For rentals of 15 days or more, mileage is limited to 100 km per day.
Mileage is limited, there will be a surcharge for each additional km. To access unlimited mileage, the customer can purchase an Additional Mileage option for an extra fee. The amount of this fee depends on the vehicle group.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A novice driver fee will apply to drivers who have held their driver license for less than 4 years.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP). A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.


In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

All extras are available at the rental counter. Prices vary, depending on the rental period.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
Electric vehicles will be provided with at least 80% battery level. You must return the vehicle with at least 80% battery level.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Winter tires are not mandatory in Spain.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 28 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours

If the customer is late for a return for more than 59 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges. Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number. The supplier will hold the vehicle for 6 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
