Hertz at London Heathrow Airport

Pros: Drop off was what I expect.

Cons: Pickup took a long time, about 30-45 mins. With a reservation it should be faster than that, Someone was dedicated to exotic/dream cars but of course nobody was at that desk.

Pros: Booked Tesla Model Y Got MB GLB 200 BUT OK

Cons: I booked an auto petrol-car almost 2 mths before pick-up. Not until I reached their pickup desk I was told there was no more petro car available. I was given 2 choices - a big manual car or a small electric car! I have no ev car driving experience and expressed my conerns on how easy to recharge the car on the road to Costwold/Cornwall. The answer was easy but definitely this wasnt true! End up I spent lots of time waiting for the car to be recharged! I was forced to skipped few stops.Thx Hentz!

Pros: Car was practically brand new. Comfortable and had all modern extras. Fast and efficient service. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons: Car was much smaller than I expected for economy, usually with DiscoverCars I got much bigger cars for economy. We only had 3 bags and we barely fitted. For Economy I was expecting something more like a Yaris, rather than an Aygo

Cons: At the pick up spot at Heathrow you had to call a number for the shuttle. Not convenient at all if you are an international traveller with no local phone. Shuttles are not frequent. Also, had to wait a long time to collect our car which was booked months ago. People walking in with no reservation took a long long, perhaps customers with a reservation should have priority.

Pros: Brand new car and easy to drop off close to Heathrow Airport

Cons: The pick up was very slow. Not enough staff and we waited for 45 minutes before getting our car

Pros: Didn’t pick up the car because my visa and master credit cards were not accepted by the machines at Hertz. And the staff simply told us to cancel it with discovercars, NO other solution was provided.

Cons: Staff were not helpful at all, the whole service wasn’t user friendly. We’re Chinese travellers and do have visa and master cards but without chips or contactless. And the Hertz machines wouldn’t accept them, and there was NO other way to pay for deposit. Hence we didn’t pick up the car we paid for.

Pros: Good car, very good condition, clear policies, pick and drop service from the airport.

Cons: Bad customer care support, not so good behaviour of specific staff - no intention to help the customer in an unknown location (however overall staff was good in behaviour).

Cons: Had to wait 1 hour to pick up the car.

Cons: The transmission of the first gear and second was rather cranky(not smooth. pretty hard and needed to take some time to synchronize. (This possibly may be my personal technical problem. But I don't think so.)) It's annoying to hear commercial recommendation to upgrade the car and insurance . I didn't understand quite much the refundable deposit. It would be very helpful if you could explain these systems and contracts in native languages when signing on the internet.

Cons: It was disgraceful I’d paid for an economy sized car but was told at counter I was getting a smaller car and was told I’d have to pay more to upsize which is nothing short of a deceiving scam , not at all happy, would never rent or recommend Discover cars or Hertz

Pros: They don't tell you about the 20% VAT I was charged. OR did YOU !! this is deception. I want to know the ACTUAL COST before I pay . Get it?

Cons: They put a hold on my credit card for any damage even though I had paid for full insurance through Discovercars. No advantage paying before hand best to do it direct with Hertz.

Cons: It would have been better to receive a universal card that allows a customer to charge the cost of their EV charge directly back to Hertz. In practice, many charger providers require a customer to sign up for and download an app, which is an extra step for non-UK citizens or those who have never used an electric car before.

Cons: I was hoping the desk rep will have informed me I was having an electric car and if I was okay with that.

Cons: Had to take a shuttle bus, despite paying extra for in terminal pickup, as there was nobody at the terminal desk. They tried to push a lower class vehicle at first. And finaly, the car's tires were under-inflated, after two days the TPMS light came on.

Cons: You mislead in a number of ways. You site said the rental booking was refundable. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was told I could not drive it from the UK to Europe (never mentioned on your site) so I asked to re-book for a 7-day rental instead of a15 day. I was told I could not because the rental started two minutes ago. I started the process 30 minutes prior. I returned the car and no refund for the unused 8-days was given. I hope you enjoy spending money you did not earn nor deserve.
