Pros: Pick up desk was well staffed and fairly quick, polite service. Car was on site so no need for a shuttle bus
Cons: There was a hard sell for their excess insurance product even after you told them you had sorted it independently (the lady who served us was not too bad but I overheard some of the other staff really trying to push it on people). Not Goldcar per se but the entrance to the car park for drop off is too tight and risks damaging the car right at the end of the hire period. If hiring a 7 seater van be wary as a friend did damage it trying to get through and was charged €1700 (Alamo, not Goldcar)

Pros: I did not like anything, When we got there, the queue was so long, after waiting for one hour, the lady tried to sell us her own insurance, besides we told her we purchased full insurance from Discover cars.
Cons: On the day of the pick up, the car was nice but we had to point all the scratches that were there on the car and it was not included on the report. On the day of drop off, it was the worst experience ever: The guy was so rude and he started pointing out all the scratches that were there before even picking up the car on 17th August, we had all the pictures and we showed him everything, but he started arguing with us that we scratched the car and he told us to sign some document, but I refused.

Rental Conditions
Please check the Rental Conditions for each vehicle prior to booking as some conditions, particularly the deposit and deductible, may vary based on the class of vehicle.
Mileage is limited in Madrid, Barcelona.
For rentals lasting 1 to 3 days, mileage is limited to 350 km per day.
For rentals lasting 4 to 6 days, mileage is limited to 250 km per day.
For rentals lasting 7 to 14 days, mileage is limited to 150 km per day.
For rentals of 15 days or more, mileage is limited to 100 km per day.
Mileage is limited, there will be a surcharge for each additional km. To access unlimited mileage, the customer can purchase an Additional Mileage option for an extra fee. The amount of this fee depends on the vehicle group.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A novice driver fee will apply to drivers who have held their driver license for less than 4 years.
Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP). A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card. If the customer takes the following extra equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
It is possible to leave the deposit only with following methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: CHIP verification, PIN verification, Embossed; cards without this capability will not be accepted.
The daily limit on the card used for payment must be high enough to cover the deposit. Otherwise, purchase of the following insurance policy(ies): Super Relax Cover is mandatory.
The main driver's full first and last name must be on the credit card without abbreviations.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.
Moving the car from one island to another is forbidden. Vehicles may not be taken to the following islands: Formentera Island.
From Spain, only travel to Andorra, France is allowed, when the vehicle has been picked up at any of the following offices: Bilbao, Santander, Oviedo, Barcelona, Reus, Gerona, Pamplona. From Spain, only travel to Portugal, Gibraltar is allowed, when the vehicle has been picked up at any of the following offices: Granada, Sevilla, Malaga, Almeria, Jerez, Sancti Petri.
From Spain, only travel to Portugal is allowed, when the vehicle has been picked up at any of the following offices: Gibraltar.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
All extras are available at the rental counter. Prices vary, depending on the rental period.
Optional extras are subject to the following additional charge(s): Premium Location surcharge, Airport Surcharge.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
For electric vehicles: the customer will receive the vehicle totally charged, and it is NOT necessary to return it with a full charge.
A full battery lasts around 150 km (this is an estimate as it depends on several factors).
If the customer runs out of battery and is stranded with the vehicle, requiring help from our roadside assistance, please keep in mind that this service is not covered by the rental insurance nor by any additional policy (the customer is always liable for all costs involved).
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number.
Pick up outside of business hours is not available in Reus Airport. Service outside of business hours is not available from 23:01 to 06:59.
