Cons: They charged us for an extra service we didn't ask for, didn't inform us about the payment, just added it and charged our credit card. We found out later. Terribly inconvenient system of calling from the airport for the pick-up shuttle, no rental desk, no-one waiting (although we provided our flight number and arrival time). Not everybody has a working Australian phone number minutes after landing, it took us almost an hour and three phone calls before we finally got on the shuttle bus.

Cons: I think the airport shuttle pickup at the airport experience can be improved. The first shuttle was full, so we waited 20 minutes for the next shuttle. By then more people had arrived, and so when the next shuttle arrived (and stopped in a different place) the other people all climbed on before us even tho they arrived later, so we had to wait again. With too many passengers we should be allowed onto the shuttle in the order we arrived (the time of the SMS we received could be used as a method)

Says to leave a message they will text you details. I didn't receive any text or call back. Stranded very distressing picked car the next morning with an $300 hotel and $50 taxi bill.

We called multiple times but got NO response. Another companies' bus driver provided information at the pickup site. Our bus staff were very ignorant and did not speak directly to the customer once or explain what was happening. They only opened and closed the boot for luggage and didn't even offer to assist placing the luggage in the boot.

Pros: Quick and easy process thanks to their online pre-form that you filled out. Car was clean, pick up and drop off drivers were very friendly.

Cons: Tyre inflation pressures were all over the place. Tyres were pretty bald and the spare tyre was flat. Accelerator was a bit sticky so at low speeds was difficult to maintain a single speed.

Cons: Bargain Car Rentals supplied me with an automatic transmission vehicle without cruise control. When we dropped off our car we had to wait one hour to be shuttled to the airport. A young couple with 3 young children (that we were waiting with) may have missed their flight as a result. They only had 25 minutes to check in when Bargain finally got us to the airport. They have apologise to me for the inconvenience however I may be reluctant to deal with them in future.

Pros: Buses need to have luggage trailers. Increased frequency of collection as people where very impatient. Some waited 30 minutes.

Vehicle hire document was out of date - vehicle odometer was some 700km over that stipulated on form, and overall document annotated 'vehicle not ready for hire'. 3. Fuel tank supposedly full, but only indicating 7/8. 4. Breakdown call number unclear.
