Pros: It was cheaper than other Rentals. The agent was quick with the paperwork as I had already checked in online.

Cons: Could not get hold of anyone for simple questions. Also, calling for a pick up from the airport was quite difficult.

Pros: Bargain car rentals was efficient with friendly, helpful staff at pick up.

Cons: The courtesy bus from the airport took a while to arrive.

Pros: We pumped before we returned but was told that the car was slightly short. Despite needing to rush to the airport, they refused to let it go and asked us to go and top it up fully or pay AUD85 plus the top up. In the end we went and it was only short of AUD5 of top up. We could never get on to the shuttles easily either. Docs not clear that we needed to look for the routine shuttle. Booster seats are expensive and we were asked to top up for insurance we reached which cost as much as the rental

Cons: Instructions on pick up were unclear. We followed the instructions to the pick up point but did not know there were further instructions to contact them for a pick up as this was buried in an attachment doc and not in the email. After 10mins of trying to figure out how we were supposed to reach out to them, we spent 30 mins trying to contact bargain car to arrange for a shuttle pick up but no reply. When we realised the shuttle was there it was full so we couldn't get on.

Cons: On arrival from Shanghai, I provided my Victorian Drivers Licence. I was told that I could not rent a car with that licence, I needed to show my Shanghai licence. I was astonished. Of course I left that at home in Shanghai assuming that they wd require the Victorian licence. Only after much pleading and a discussion with the manager did I receive the car.

A friendly staff at Bargain Car Rentals quickly arranged roadside assistance to inspect the car and deemed it safe to drive, although the squeaky sound could not be fixed.

Cons: They charged us for an extra service we didn't ask for, didn't inform us about the payment, just added it and charged our credit card. We found out later. Terribly inconvenient system of calling from the airport for the pick-up shuttle, no rental desk, no-one waiting (although we provided our flight number and arrival time). Not everybody has a working Australian phone number minutes after landing, it took us almost an hour and three phone calls before we finally got on the shuttle bus.

Cons: The shuttle service driver (Gary) was brilliant and went above and beyond to assist my wife and I with our bags.

Cons: Poor detail on pick up process. I booked a car for 6.30pm. It said you had to organise special arrangements after 6pm. I was confused about why I could book a car for 6.30pm if that was the case. It turns out they were actually open till 8pm. You can't get through to anyone on the number provided. Says to leave a message they will text you details. I didn't receive any text or call back. Stranded very distressing picked car the next morning with an $300 hotel and $50 taxi bill.

Cons: Unacceptable opening hours for pick-up and drop off. Last shuttle at 7h30 pm

Cons: That’s the agent talked my husband into getting car insurance. We already had travel insurance so didn’t need it. Extra cost we didn’t need.

Cons: Pickup time from airport could be improved. I had book my Car pickup time at 7AM, but thats out of their office time, called 3-4 times ask for pickup, talk to the automatic reply system, end up i got pickup at 7.30am, and got my car all ready around 8.15am, 1 hour plus wasted.

Cons: When I called for pickup, I never got the text telling us where the pickup spot is. Long wait for shuttle as well as at rental agency. Originally given a car without working windshield wipers, thank goodness my husband noticed before we drove off!

Cons: There was a third party insurance company is involved / linked with this rental, which I obtained when I bought online with the rental fee. And it said fully covered. However at the desk when I went to pick up the car, representative scared me it is not covered this or that and access is $5000. To turn the access into $0 I had to pay another $175 for only 5 days. Very confusing. Should have cleared in advance.

Pros: Best prices I could find, friendly service.

Cons: Only downside is that the rental lot is not actually at the airport but there's a free shuttle which got us to and from fairly quickly and easily.
