Cons: I called customer service to amend the booking but the representative ended up asking me to send all details I had just given, in an email to Sixt reservations. I did, but only received confirmation after I had already collected the car.

Pros: I needed a couple of hours above my drop off time, whilst wait time on the phone was a little long i was able to easily adjust my time and because it was such a short period and didn't tick me over to a new day i was given it free of charge.

Cons: the car doesn't provide navigation system. On the other hand, the car doesn't support the Android phone even the existence of the button of Android auto. The staff member at the site could not solve the problem.
Pros: The driver front right door seemed to be faulty as I had to forcefully close the door hard as to close the door fully. Also, the car wiper liquid level was not topped up at all prior to my collection of my car and after using once the wiper with liquid splashing on the front window, the wiper liquid indicator alert message started appearing in the system screen console in front of driver seat. I had to divert to nearby petrol station to top up the wiper liquid level.

Cons: Not being able to contact the service- there were no options when you called for those who have an existing booking- yet on your form terms and conditions if things are not going according to plan you need to contact them to make them aware you may be late but you couldn't. The contact numbers were also incorrect on my paperwork and it took me and my husband at least a good twenty minutes to find a contact number.

Pros: The customer service was very helpful validating my Swedish driver's license (of which I sent a scanned version of the fron and back sides), so that it was sorted out before I left Sweden that it would be accepted for getting the car at Melbourne airport.

Cons: Car was very dirty during pick up. At least vacuum and wipe clean the whole car before handing it over for next customer pick up. Immigration delay has lead to a late car pick up at 930am on 3rd Nov. I returned the car at 830am on 10th Nov, least I expect was your agent to refund me a day's rental fee, which is substantial savings for me. My initial quote was to return at 1030am.

Cons: At times the car gave a little trouble to start
Pros: Asked for an upgrade to an EV at the checkin desk as Sixt have EVs. Paid for a Corolla but got to drive the electric MG for 5 days for $15 a day more, was thrilled with this. Hadn’t used Sixt before but definitely will in future, one of the first major car companies to offer EVs.

Cons: The down payment of $400 was Charged instead of putting on hold.( Which was typically put on hold case for most cases and then charged if any additional cost incurred) . That 2 transactions ( charged and refunded alone costs me about 8-10%($45) of the total fee of $400 which benefitted no one, but the credit card bank.

A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
An International Driving Permit is required (in addition to your regular driver license) if the national driver license is not written in the following language(s): English.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name, booking voucher.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
It is possible to leave the deposit only with following methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
The following payment methods are accepted: Diners, JCB, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard debit card, American Express Debit card.
When using the following payment method(s): debit card, the Security Deposit amount will double.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
Credit card must be valid after rental period for at least 30 days.
When using MasterCard, Visa, a 1.10 % surcharge on the total cost of extra equipment and services will apply. When using Diners, a 3.29 % surcharge on the total cost of extra equipment and services will apply.
When using American Express, JCB, a 3.00 % surcharge on the total cost of extra equipment and services will apply.
Cash, Cheques, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
Using a ferry is not allowed.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.
Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
