Pros: Car rental was shut. When they took my booking they should of known that and not taken my booking or at least emailed me to say they are closed Easter Sunday. So I was left at Melbourne airport for 3 hrs trying to find a car.... The worst thing was Europcar said they could give me a smaller car but it would cost me an extra 32% I laughed and walked out the door..... It took 3 hrs to find another car

Pros: Upgraded car.

Cons: Odometer wasn't full. Could only tell when i returned the car that the odometer read 793km. When I picked the car up the odometer read 651km. That is 142km that I've paid for that I shouldn't have. When I told the drop off place in Geelong, they said that they were a franchise and that they could only place the details in the system and hope that the other office from Tullamarine could fix this up when they close it off. Not sure if anything has happened yet? Please follow this up for me?

Cons: Booked a compact SUV, got one in between hatch back and SUV, quite low, not exactly what I expected. When filled up the patrol upon returning, realised the tank was not completely full when I picked up, had about 50km difference.

Pros: Friendly service. Good vehicle

Cons: The phone numbers provided to call to get picked up via shuttle from the airport were not active then when we called the head office (the number on the website) they told us to go to the wrong office branch. The drop off place in St Kilda does not have very good signage especially when it's on a main road. The pick up agent said they had taken photos of the vehicle, it would be good if those photos were sent to us for our reference as well.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver (damage deductible: ~€ 3115.00), Third Party Liability (TPL), Vehicle registration fee, Free modifications.
Rate excludes
The following surcharges may apply: Premium Location surcharge.

E-Toll/Sunpass activation fee is 3.30 AUD per day.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.
Mileage policy
If the customer plans to drive a large number of miles, he/she must return to the local car rental office to inspect the vehicle before reaching 10000 km.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
For certain car groups, minimal rental age is 25 years.

A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in English alphabet.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, flight information.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.

If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners.
Cash is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company. Travel to the following territory(ies): Kangaroo Island, Stradbroke Island, Magnetic Island, Bribie Island, Phillip Island, Bruny Island is allowed.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
If the customer would like to extend the rental period, he/she should return to the car rental office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
The contract will be extended with prices updated according to the prices for each period.
