Cassiano's Rent A Car at Madeira Airport (Funchal)

Pros: Quick, efficent and friendly service. Clean car in very good condition. No drama.

Pros: Quick easy attentive professional, did offer more insurance but accepted answer of no and didn't push

Cons: The baby chair i purchased for rental was not the best quality baby chair but wasn't damaged or dangerous and they did swap the first when I said no and found me an alternative so probably me being picky on chairs as my baby was only 5 months old and my first time in another chair that wasn't my own

Pros: Quick pick up and drop off. Clean vehicles, everything was well organised and smooth and good value for money. The staff were excellent.

Cons: Drop off a bit disorganised - in a car wash, no staff on hand on arrival.

Pros: Like the online check in, made things quicker at time of collection. However, we experienced a breakdown of our first car - but car rescued within 1 hr and we had a 2nd (bigger) hire car within 3 hrs despite it being a very busy week, so when these things happen the customer care was good.

Cons: We had to go back to base to collect the 2nd car, but were grateful it was sorted quickly.

Pros: The car had a lot of dammage.

Pros: Transparent, easy to use service that was quick and accessible. Especially if coming straight from the airport (they provide a shuttle).

Cons: Our car did have aesthetic damage, however it did not impact functionality and the company was clear it wasn't our fault.

Cons: We did not receive any help. We were stranded on the airport without a car due to the mistake of rental company worker. After that there was no accountability or any help.

Pros: The financial breakdown and the additional cost were overwhelmingly different to stated on quote.

Cons: They were accommodating and helpful. They had ladies with friendly approach and attitudes.

Cons: The car insurance you get through them is a broker, they just leave you with a receipt and you have to figure out how to do it. Our car brakes were extremely shakey but this was laughed off as 'perfectly normal'. Check in/check out took a while so give yourself an hour extra or so. Overall an OK experience but I'd try elsewhere next time.

Pros: At Funchal Airport I contacted Cassiano’s and the shuttle arrived within 5 minutes. The staff were friendly and Rubina efficiently completed the contract and payment process. I declined the company’s excess insurance as I had this from a third party. Rubina did not pressurise me (unlike many other rental companies) and simply explained what would happen if the vehicle was damaged. On returning the vehicle, it was checked and my deposits were cancelled on the same day. Very satisfied.

Cons: Our Toyota Aygo was underpowered for Madeira and much of the mountain and coastal routes required using 1st and 2nd gears constantly. However, it was my choice and very economical on fuel and suitable for the VR and VE routes.

Pros: The flight was delayed but they stayed late and made sure we were picked up and the car was ready

Pros: Very helpful at pickup and provided thorough explanation of car when I collected it and returned it

Cons: The car developed an amber light on the dashboard saying tyres are needing inflation, there was no instructions provided nor any tyre pressures on the hubcap. I returned in midrental to the agent to get help and he told me to pump the tyres up myself at the local garage. I did it but the amber lights wouldn't go out on dashboard. I was a bit concerned at the lack of information.

Pros: Very friendly and efficient staff. Virtually new T-Roc vehicle. No hard sell of comprehensive insurance, but the risks of not doing so are clearly explained. The transfer to and from the airport was quick and very friendly in a very new minibus.

Pros: Spot on the best rental over the years I had. The beat Europcar, Enterprise, Sixt etc. Fast airport pick up, fast delivery to office, fast check-in. Then what I have not experienced before: The agent took me to the car, explained everything, made sure Im comfortable with everything. That never happened before. Same experience on the return of the car- fast, efficient.Immediate transport to the airport. Car was brand-new, had only 500km on it. Absolutely perfect experience!

Cons: Maybe improve Meet and Greet, as there isnt an individual actually meeting you in the airport, have to go outside to check if the shuffle bus is outside. but easy enough to call and tell them that you have arrived, and then they come to collect you

Pros: Service personnel was very helpful and kind. Loved the car as it was easy to use.

Cons: Have to pay extra for navigation. It’s a simple software that can be downloaded, so in my opinion it should be free of charge and all cars with screen can have it.

Pros: Fast and friendly service with a free upgrade upon request.
