You are allowed to cancel and receive a full refund up to 48 hours before your originally scheduled pick-up time.
Will I have to pay the full value of the vehicle if it is stolen?
All car hire offers on Santorini include Theft Protection (TP), though with an excess. If the car is stolen you will be liable for the excess. If you purchase our Full Coverage, you will be reimbursed for the excess if the car is stolen.
Do I need to have a plane ticket to hire a car at the airport?
No, no car hire companies on Santori require a plane ticket. You can still hire a car if you arrive on a ferry.
How is the transfer from the airport?
The pick-up instructions will be sent in your voucher (suppliers offer a free shuttle service that will take you to the offices outside the airport in approximately 7-10 minutes).

Santorini is a photographers or geologists dream. Boat trip in p on the caldera a must as are sunsets from Oia or Fira. Found three great restaurants where service v high and always given a dessert and/or aperitif after the meal too!

Driving in Santorini is fine providing you stay to main roads. We didnt have any problems during our visit. Would recommend Fira to Oia hike- we parked and started at Imerovigili to avoid congestion of Fira. Walked from Imerovigili to Oia, caught bus from Oia to Fira and then completed Firs to Imerovigili section of hike. Very doable walk , particularly over 2 sections like this. Would recommend visiting Akroteri which is amazing archaeological site, many of its artefacts on display in prehistoric musuem in Fira just opposite the Atlantis Hotel in Fira and the start of the Fira to Oia trail.

Rented a place near Akrotiri, accidentally found Aeolos tavern they do delicious homemade gyros and souvlaki. We have been told to drive safe, with our 6 year old boy in mind, we made sure that we are. Found free parking in Oia, Fira and basically all the beaches. We loved our coffee from Gregoris Bakery before starting our day. We even made it to Ancient Thera all in good shape. We had made a preference of Kamari over Perissa beach as our little boy love airplane spotting and we love the free sun beds that go with our meals. -wife writing in behalf of husband driver.

A fantastic place to visit. No roundabouts or traffic lights. Watch out for quad bikes and motorcyclists. Some of the minor roads are narrow and uneven. Get a small car if you can! everyone does!
