Surprice at Milan Central Train Station

Pros: Good car, modern, clean.

Cons: Surprice? More like SURPISE FEES! At the desk they told me that since I didn’t have an “international license“ or EU driver’s license they would charge me over 3x the price (they said this was for insurance) - a ~70€ rental became over €230! The car was fine and the rest of the experience was OK but I was very upset that this requirement was NOT clear up front and the person at the desk was very unsympathetic.

Pros: Car drop off was easy. Car had android car play.

Cons: No clear indication that if you do not use a credit card and use a debit card instead, that you will pay 4x the price.

Cons: Very poor customer service. Counter staff keep pushing to buy additional insurance despite me keep repeating that I have already purchased full insurance cover. They didn’t even provide the address of the garage to return the car which left us stranded for a while.

Cons: They did not have the car we had ordered and tried to chare us extra for an "upgrade". They were clearly trying to find any possible way to charge us more money.

Cons: It took almost an hour from when we were supposed to pick up the car and when we received it. Garage accessible by shuttle so not on site of central station. Staff not particularly friendly. Language appeared to be a barrier. Overall OK but not as efficient as our Sardinia car hire.

Pros: Booking the car was easy. However, upon arrival at the vendor, we were denied the rental because I did not have an International Driver's License/Permit, something I'd never needed before. During the rental process it should be made VERY apparent that this would be a requirement from the vendor, instead of being notified at the place of pickup and then being denied.

Pros: Surprice was a very positive surprise, to be recommended.

Cons: nothing. you need to take a shuttle to pick up the car but service is always there and in time.

Pros: I booked a car a month in advance and paid for it and when I showed up, there was no car available. I left without a car and despite being guaranteed a refund, DiscoverCar continued to charge my card for the entire amount of the rental car. I filed a claim and still have not received a refund. Horrible company, avoid at all costs!

Pros: The shuttle driver for the rental company, super nice.

Cons: No clear information about where the office is. No one to talk to in case of a problem like mine.

Cons: The representative gave me misleading information about my coverage and he also charged me extra proceeds while he didn’t have the right to do so without taking any consideration for the down payment.

Cons: The agencies phone number and email were disconnected and we could not find them on google maps. We had to book another car through another company.

Pros: everything could've been better except the rep at the desk was nice and friendly.

Cons: The car was filthy inside, had been smoked in, had multiple small areas of damage outside (only 25k KM on it). When returning, the rep took a long time looking at the damage as if it was new when it was already on paperwork. I also wasn't given a final invoice upon returning and left to hope for the best.

Cons: I was told I had fully comprehensive insurance, and paid additional for this through Discover Cars. When I arrived at the car rental pick-up, I was told my fully-comp insurance was not valid and I had to pay an additional £500.

Cons: I did not spend $30 to hold the deal if I knew the money did not included in the rental car price. I booked the car including GPS on website. But my car do not have GPS until I have picked up the car and I have paid the payment.

Cons: Discover car went thru Enterprise which went thru Surprice which brokered for AirOne. Not clear what kind of car I was picking up or from whom. In case of accident, good luck getting your money back through 4 brokers and a shitty rental car company from Southern Italy!
