Cons: Pick-up in Milan Central station took time at the desk because there was two other persons before me and they had plenty of things to ask. After that we still had to walk about 15 minutes to the garage and there was any Locauto signs outside the building. So it was a little hard to find but after that everything was perfect

Cons: The last gas station on our way to the airport was about 18 km away, although we had been told we would find one at 3 km. The one we were sent to afterwards, was significantly more expensive than the average gas stations in Italy.

Pros: I was concerned at first, because of bad reviews I had read online, but both pick up and drop off were easy. I filmed and took photos as a precaution, but there were no issues.

Cons: They could make it more clear the pick up and drop off address, instead of giving a piece of paper with a qr code, they should leave the address inside the car, or keep it in the internet when we googled their address at Milano Centrale.

Pros: HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOCAUTO for car rental services. Used an economy car for 8 days in Milan and Florence. Car was in excellent condition (even though it had 45000 kms mileage) . Return process was amazingly quick and customer friendly. No hidden charges or hassles during return. Service with a smile 😀

Cons: Pick up location want at Milano Centrale station. Had to walk 15 mins in the rain to get to pick up location. Should have brought the car to the Milan Centrale office or at least provided a van/bus service. Otherwise a good experience.

Cons: Smart link was not activated in the car and because of that I was unable to use CarPlay. I connected to the car via Bluetooth, also via cable, and every time the system said - smart link not activated, contact the dealer. Because of this issue, it was very uncomfortable to drive and hold the phone in hands to see the navigator.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1200.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 3 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In order to pick up the car, domestic renters must present the following documents: ID card.
A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): EU countries.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

Driver licenses from the following country(ies): China will be accepted only if the translation is approved by the Consulate or Embassy.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), local address (apartment; hotel; villa; etc.), telephone number statement (as proof contact number belongs to driver).
Deposit and deductible policy
The deposit amount is 0.01 EUR.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Snow chains.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

During winter season (from 15.11. until 15.04.) Snow chains are included in price.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04 in the following regions: South Tyrol.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number, train number.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 59 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
