Pros: The vehicle was nice, clean and well serviced.
Cons: I did not appreciate the process for renting this vehicle at all. I paid for full coverage upon booking, but was charged a $1,300.00 security deposit because the insurance was taken through Booking.com and not Gold Car itself. When I checked out the vehicle I marked the scratches and both the representative and I signed the checkout/check-in form they provided. When I went to check in the vehicle, they would not sign the check-in form and they would give me nothing saying I turned the car in.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: They attract customers with affordable prices but try to skin them after the rental period with bogus damage charges.I recommend taking time-stamped photos and videos of the car.
Cons: They add additional fees not listed on the voucher. They blame it on the 3rd party service. They choose to use the 3rd party service that doesn't display all fees. It's kind of scam-y. Seems unethical to me.
Pros: Friendly woman who spoke fantastic English and was very knowledgeable and efficient, with a genuine desire to help us have a great experience with Goldcar
Cons: I was not sent any helpful information by email before arriving — need more communication from goldcar leading up to rental period!

Cons: They wanted to charge E1200.00 for incidences, unless I bought full coverage, and hold that E1200.00 for 3 weeks after I returned the car. They charged me E300.00 for having an American drivers license. When I argued about the charges, the agent told me "Fuck you" in Italian...
