Exit the terminal building and walk around parking area 3 until you reach the petrol station located between parking area 3 and parking area 4. Continue walking, keeping the petrol station on your right. Once you reach the next crossing, turn right, and you will find the Centauro Rent a Car courtesy shuttle waiting area.
Drop-off instructions
Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park and then you will be taken to the Departure Hall by Shuttle Bus.

Pros: Absolutely nothing. Filippo was rude to my parents too who also had booked a car the following day. Telling them that he had waited for a very long time and took no wiggle room for passport control.

Cons: I will never book with Centauro again or Discover Cars. No customer service that is easy to find at all. No number to call. Nothing. I will be sending complaints and writing reviews to say that this was a complete scam and had no consideration or common sense that almost every flight is delayed and they cannot let the hire car go after paying for it in advance.

Cons: I have been accused of causing damage to the vehicle which I absolutely have not done so. The staff member who took the car back from me went straight to the front of the vehicle and looked underneath it as if he already knew the damage was there and immediately asked if I had pictures from when I collected the car, shortly followed by have you got extra insurance? Clearly a pre planned scan to get €300 for old damage and I am certain this will have happened to other people before me.

Cons: The rental car location is not advertised clearly at the Ciampino Airport. Also is not clear to add information about the time of the arrival, if this information is missing you never will pick up from the agent. We wait more than 1 hour and in the end we call a taxi.

Cons: The instructions on how to find the free shuttle (that say you should go to parking stop No. 5) at Rome airport are wrong - you actually have to walk to the closed gas station nearby (1 minute walk) and wait at the corner for the shuttle there.

Cons: Centauro isn’t based at the airport and you need to get a bus there or give them a call to pick you up, you cannot walk there. The instructions for how to find the place were very confusing but once we gave them a call the journey from the airport was only a couple of minutes.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1500.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form. Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: a round-trip flight or train ticket covering the rental dates.
Deposit and deductible policy
A separate fuel deposit is required when collecting the vehicle.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains, Cross border fee.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
At time of drop off, customers should return the vehicle with a full tank and be able to show the gas station receipt confirming they have filled the tank, in order for the fuel deposit to be refunded.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.

Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number, train number.
A maximum of 2 hours is available for service outside of business hours.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 12 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
