Pros: Fast and efficient. Staff pleasant to deal with and no issues there at all. The car was nearly new with all the mod cons which was definitely a plus.

Cons: The Goldcar office isn't located with all the other companies & it lacks directions/ signs telling you where it's located. The car was clean out the outside but not particularly clean inside and could have done with a hoover, mats being cleaned and dust off the seats. The car also had pre- existing damage which was a little unsightly and in my experience, when a car has some damage it tends to 'attract' other damage. Thankfully this was not the case for us this time

Pros: They give me a almost new car.

Cons: Counter service at Gold Car pressure and hassle me to buy extra insurance from him Despite I show him I have already bought full coverage online. And he tell me to call roadside assistance if I got a problem on the road do not call them because I did not purchase insurance from them. And he was threatening me that if I"m slow to close this deal, after 9pm he will charge me extra 50 Euro for his OT. The above 2 statement was made in front of his lady colleague me and my wife. Very bad experience.

Cons: Goldcar should, upfront, be open about the extra's you must pay. Goldcar does something really shady. They pretend that they cannot charge your credit card and the only solution is to get expensive insurance when picking up the car. We called the bank to check. They knew about this scam by Goldcar. If Goldcar should communicate openly: We offer cheap cars. We make money on insurance. If you don't mind taking a risk, Goldcar is for you. Do you want to play it safe? Pros: I guess their only competitive advantage is price, if you do not plan to enter any neighboring countries and read the fine print for every single detail.

Cons: Staff at Dubrovnik airport office were trying to sell Goldcar insurance so desperately (they even said that external insurance - I quote - "is fake"), this made me and other clients feel uncomfortable. They were also very slow and upon return there was noone at the desk for about 20-30 mins and their main mobile phone was left unattended on the table so I was not even able to call them and ask when would they return. Also deposit for the excess was higher that initially told me on the phone.

The following surcharges may apply: Accident Administration fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 85 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 70.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
Deposit and deductible policy
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The maximum rental period per agreement is 28 days.
If the customer would like to extend the rental period, he/she should return to the car rental office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
