They forced us to combine our bookings and take a single van and pay an upgrade fee even though it was not our fault they didn't have cars. They refused to give us detailed billing as to the amounts received from DiscoverCars.com as the deposit amount. Very shady outfit. Look at Ecovia / Autovia ( same company) reviews online 2 stars or less every single one of them.

Cons: I had a tough time finding the pickup point, and specifically asked for the drop off address. Was told it was on the receipt but it was wrong!! Had to go to find the actual rental station in the train station and ask for actual drop off point which was another 10 mins away! And when I went to the drop off point, no one was there!!! There was another customer also Pick up was terrible too, car was late, not prepared or washed and I had to take it as it is cos was late already And half tank only

Pros: Car was dirty. The car was not the brand and model I had contracted. Finding the desk in Rome was l9ng and difficult. This company has mutliple names and of course you can't find the one name on the contract. The card machine broke down. Spent hours waiting. Finally it got fixed. Had to buy a full protection insurance package because I didn't have my internatiinal driver's licence!!! It ended up costing DOUBLE my initial rental agreement and still had to purchase an internatiinal permit online

Cons: Car pickup experience was terrible. They would not rent me the car unless I paid a bunch of additional charges over what I had agreed to on the DiscoverCars website. Then the car they gave me was all bashed up. Then when I returned the car I checked my credit card statement a couple of days later and I have another 150 euro charge on from Ecovia. I contacted them - but no explanation of why. This company are a bunch of crooks.

Pros: Awful pick up - couldn’t find the desk and when we did the queue was long and process exceptionally slow. Drop off was a joke, 3 different locations to drop off to. Eventually found the right one but office closed, even though sign said it was open. Man returned to the office having clearly left the office during opening hours and was rude and unhelpful.

Pros: Nothing. He was almost 30 minutes late arriving and rushed through the entire collection process making us sign things we didn't know what they were for. Didn't explain anything to us fully. We then went on to have an accident in the car, called and let him know, went back to the train station to ask how we will be notified of costs etc and he said by email in a couple of days. We have not heard anything as yet and now on 5th day.

Cons: The next day we got a message from ecovia naples asking us to return the car early... which first of all, why didn't ecovia Rome let them know the situation and secondly, we paid for a period of time and therefore are entitled to the car until that time. Bit cheeky to be honest.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.

Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
