Cons: I paid for a sat nav but the car had this as a built in addition. I think this should have been know and not been available as an additional option on a model that has that as standard. Plus the windscreen wipers really needed replacing on the vehicle I rented, not really working at all

Cons: Insurance - in case of an accident the user would first have to pay and then get a refund from discovercars - comes across as a threat.

The GPS was only telling as the cost of the tolls ect $17 but not how many we actually passed to know the extra money you guys are taking. So if in that $17 was it 2 or 4 tolls ect we didn't know.

Cons: On pick up in Sydney they told us it is not possible to drop off the car in Melbourne out of office time- this is not true- it is possible. So we drop off the car one day bevor our fligjt and pent extra money and time to drop off the car one day bevor our flight. We also have to pay extra to come back in cbd with skybus 47 aud and next day extra 65 aud for uber. That was realy not profesional!

Pros: On arrival, I had problem contacting the airport shuttle transport to the car pickup location. I had to incur a costly oversea call to talk to the operator. A mobile line with whatsapp call option would have solved my problem and distress coz I only have overseas phone line.

I had to return car early due to unseen circumstances and didn’t get extra days refund back either. I booked suv and paid extra and got small car.

She went on and on about how I would have to cancel that insurance and pay for East Coast Rentals insurance. She was fear mongering us that we would have to pay out alot of money in the event of an accident and then have to try (possibly unsuccessfully) to get paid back by Discover Cars.

Cons: All expenses should be noted on the online booking. I was quoted one price only to be told on arrival that it had a $4400 excess with a $1000 assurity deposit. That meant spending more on the hire than anticipated.

But these are only minor things and the overall quality the car was very good,

Pros: It was a bit well taken care of car. Made lots of noises. I am very glad it did not breakdown while I had it. There was construction going on in the building so it was very hard to hear in while picking up the car, this will obviously change. It was more that they seemed annoyed that I could not hear them, but there was nothing I could do.

I dropped off my car prior to the front desk being open but after the time I was told shuttle service would start when picking up my car. I understand that it is unprecedented times, but notifying customers of changes should be a priority.

Cons: Through the booking process we added a baby seat & were quoted as such but then when we arrived, we had to pay more for the isofix baby seat which is safer and ultimately should just be the standard baby seat offered & not charged at a premium compared to their older seats.We were also expecting the seat to be in the car or at least someone present who knew how to install one & this was not the case which meant it took twice as long as it should have. It was also dirty with crumbs and stains.
