Alpha car hire at Sydney Airport

Pros: Good pricing, easy pick up from Sydney airport, very quick drop off

Pros: The agent tried to assist but wasn't able to. She was helpful and tried her best.

Cons: The car was in extremely poor condition, the connection to the USB does not work enabling no navigation, the car Blue Tooth was called Pussy Wagon, it is getting stuck in neutral when trying to put into drive - where do I stop. I did not feel safe at all in the car.

Pros: Normal. But the car we want it not avaiable and change by car the just owned. They just say they offer similiar car. But the car they provided is far from accepted. I order haval h6 but they give similiar car with tucson, kaleos. I dont wan it because i choose haval for new car and new diffrent and updated car technology. Finally i take haval julion, because they only have that, but more small suv than haval. But its ok. Because they said if i dont take my money could be gone. Bad session.

Pros: The car had been in an accident and they had not included that on the report. They also charged us for an extra driver even though the invoice said second driver was free. We were very unimpressed with the quality of the car.

Cons: Big muck around, was told to express check in for ease at pickup, we did this and they made us re do it all when we got there with all licence information, signing agreement, all over again. Mucked around with dropping our car off because they weren’t open before our flight which forced us to drop off the night before leaving me and my family stranded to get to the airport, no shuttle or drop offs early hours of the morning. We are very annoyed at our experience we have had at Alpha.

Cons: Exorbitant and hidden fees. They charge so little as they know they will earn a killing off you elsewhere. Toll road markups and doubling parking infractions to name a few.

Cons: Had to extend rental by 2 days, charge was almost the same as the 5 day rental I was on. I'd be more inclined to hire from Alpha again if they offered better pricing for additional days. I was giving them incremental revenue. On leaving Alpha's depot at Sydney, a warning light came on. Had to go back to the depot. Alpha rep said it was tire pressure sensor warning, and that it would go off after a few miles. It stayed on for the duration of the rental - and probably the prior rentals...

Cons: This place is an absolute joke. Travelling for over 24hours of which they email me to inform me that they close at 4.30pm and seeing as I land at 9.30pm I will have to pay the security deposit and then I’ll be contacted by another email address with instructions on how to collect the vehicle. Tried the number and only offered recovery, payment link for the deposit was not available when I could try it. Left completely stranded at an international airport because they close at 4.30pm.

Pros: Exceptionally easy process from booking to pickup and drop off - staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.

Cons: Something in writing to acknowledge car return and condition on return - for legality peace of mind.

Cons: The only downside was incomplete detail on after-hour pick up and returns. If you call the number provided, the recorded message repeats that it is outside the business hours and that is it without saying that you need to go to the puck up bay. Also, if you can specify from what time you can return the car it will be clearer. For our case we had to ask to obtain such detail. Overall good experience and a decent cat.

Pros: The friendly and efficient staff members. The car was clean and ran smoothly.

Pros: Fast and efficient service, only issue was there was no Sat Nav and my samsung phone and google maps were not compatible with car. The car did have Airplay and is compatible with iphone though.

Cons: The communications need to be improved. I sent an email to confirm if payment was done. There is no reply. They must be able to reply by email, specially cancelling the car rental.

Cons: Unfortunately the desk had a different price for my rental. They were asking to charge me $80 more than my booking because of their computer system, but they eventually changed the charge to match the booking. Car itself was fine, however I did have to inflate all 4 tyres myself to get the low pressure warnings to go away. Sensor just seemed a bit too sensitive.

Pros: I had to wait at the airport whilst 3 busses stopped and took other people. We spend an hour waiting at the airport. Tried ringing the number given but it kept sending me back to original prompts. First time I have booked a car outside the terminal and it will also be the last time I do it.

Cons: After 30 hours and 3 planes to get to Australia, the headaches of picking up the car ruined the whole experience for us and alpha. Bus drivers did not care and would not ring the office for us. Alpha car rep when I eventually go into them were unapologetic

Cons: Description of pick up point for the shuttle "middle of the U shape" - did that mean inside the U or at the bottom end? No user manual or verbal run-through of the car. Several features were hard to find or understand.

Brakes weak, car needed a tune up. the brake would be weak from time to time . boot would not stay shut so light would come up on the dash . we drive our cars and rental cars the same . We don't misuse other peoples cars any different to ours. I prefer to drive a 10 year old car than drivean MG that had only 22K on the clock. in 4 days we drove 300 Klms of surburb driving .
