Pros: On arrival the initial service was excellent, very quick and easy getting the original keys, also upon drop off, very quick and easy.

Cons: The car I booked was an intermediate size Leon estate or similar automatic, upon arrival I was given a Leon hatch, and had no chance of getting the luggage in. After speaking with the Cicar team, they said I had booked a estate or an automatic, not both, which is just bonkers. They swapped me for a larger car, but not an automatic which was stressful as hadn't driven a manual for several years. Not sure this is a fault of cicar or discovercars but very frustrating.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (with zero deductible), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): EU.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.

Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 3 additional drivers.
Additional drivers are allowed free of charge.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Delivery within city limits to hotels is free of charge.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 3 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
