Cons: This is not against Avis, but against the pick up details printed on my confirmation from Discovery Cars. It says to pick up the car in the terminal, underneath which it says car rental village. As a visitor to the UK I had no idea that the car rental village was not part of the terminal or that I should get a bus to the village. I asked numerous members of staff where the Avis desk was and was directed all over Terminals 1 and 2 before finally finding out I needed to get a courtesy bus.

Pros: front desk professional
Cons: car not in condition to be on the road. it took 3 cars to get one good. 1st was down with brake pads and the agent tried to make leave by saying it was only a noise. Had to refuse and ask him to test the car to agree on the pads (less skilled customer may have been sent out on the road with no breakes). (car was dirty too) Second car had a flat tire notified after 1 km from the rental park. back again and the agent asked to inflate and let me go but if there is a flat tire you must check the

Pros: A young man agent arrived an dealt with me an said we don’t just take deposit from credit card, we take debit also which I was happy with ,I finally got a hire car thanks to him.
Cons: lady at the desk called Amanda was always leaving the desk wasn’t very helpful an her approach was rude an not helpful towards me.

A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, USA, Colombia, Bolivia, EU countries.
The driver license must be written in Roman alphabet.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Electric vehicles must be returned with the same battery charge they had when picked up to avoid additional charges (on a per kWh basis). An additional admin fee will be charged if a vehicle is returned with less than 70 % battery charge remaining.
