• Vatican City. • Baths of Diocletian. In addition to politics, war-making, trade, and worshipping of gods, visiting the public baths was an important part of an ancient Roman’s life. Named after the Roman emperor who ruled at the time, this was one of the most famous — and certainly the largest — bath complexes in the empire. Nowadays a national museum open to tourists, it contains not only the ruins of the baths themselves, but also preserved frescoes, statuettes, and other artefacts.
• National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. Rome has a true wealth of high-quality museums, and many of them boast collections of Ancient Roman, medieval, and Renaissance art. Equally impressive, however, is the main modern art museum, considered to be one of the best of its kind in Europe. The museum houses and displays works of such world-class artists as de Chirico, Monet, van Gogh, and Pollock.

Terminals

The two passenger terminals are Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. They’re in the same building, and it’s possible to walk between them. Terminal 5 is currently closed for renovation.

Location

Rome Fiumicino Airport is about 30 km (18 mi) from the city center. Autostrada A91 is the main road connecting the airport to the city.

Nearest petrol station

One of the nearest gas stations, Eni, is located at Via dell' Aeroporto di Fiumicino, 232. It’s right next to Rome Fiumicino Airport—you can reach it in about five minutes. There are many other gas stations near the airport and on the way to Rome.
