I rented for 26 days. I traveled to 8 cities and towns in Spain and France. I used the car on every type of road - super highway, secondary highway, major city streets, small town streets, narrow country roads, and even tiny little streets in small town. The car performed very well under all conditions. I drove about 2,500 kilometers and really relied on the car for my trip plans. And the car proved up to the task and performed reliably and comfortably for me, for all situations. I'm happy I was assigned that car.

I found a different rental agency and was able to get a car just fine. Barcelona is pretty easy to drive it, but the scooters during rush hour can be a challenge to navigate.

I used the car very little this time, because I went to Calella and didn't move much once there. Public transportation is very good and traffic sometimes slow. Make sure you need the flexibility of renting the car for the kind of activities you plan. Make sure you take pictures before driving away and that you include all actual scratches. You pay dearly if Pre-existent problems are missed and only taken into account when you return the car, so they become your problem.
