Cons: Service and communication in this branch of Record-go. The operator wanted to take a deposit from me for the car, although in your service I specifically chose the option without a deposit. The communication was very rude and unpleasant. The car is dirty inside, dusty and stained.

Cons: Car had damage to start. Extra fees charge for everything including Extra insurance despite having paid for full cover, through Discover Cars, extra fees to add a driver despite payment extra insurance, extra extra extra. Rip off, will go direct through a larger company next time.

Pros: Booked Renault Clio or similar, got Ford Puma hybrid. Pleasently surprised with the car, small car but fits 4 people with 4xcabin luggage suitcases and 4xbackpacks. Car was nice and clean, had few scratches and dents, but it looks like most of rental cars in Barcelona and Madrid have scratches and dents, just need to take pictures or video of the car on picking up, and you're fine on return.

Pros: Nothing, was terrible

Cons: The Service from the agent, the attitude. The car had many scratches and some broken parts in the interior, not indicated in the contract, and when we asked the agent to come to check them with us and include them, he just told us to take pictures without even move from his chair. Must say, the office was totally empty! The service of the agent was the worst I ever had in many years of renting cars in different rentacars in Spain and other countries.

Pros: The low cost was the best selling point.

Cons: It was difficult if not impossible to reach customer service, one tire had a slow leak that was not discovered by company before renting the car to me, and upon dropping off the car, no receipt or any acknowledgment was given that the car was returned in the same condition I received it, which left me vulnerable to false claims, as some other people said in reviews of RecordGo.

Cons: *Time to pick up the car (1.5 hours). *Very stiff policy for making additional changes (young driver, going to Andorra) - I asked to add approval to drive to Andorra- they insisted that I'll provide them the exact date or pay for the whole rental period. I wanted to add my son as a driver - they asked me to get police approval for his license ( make sense. his license was only in the mail) but then insisted that I have to come again to the Barcelona branch to show that. I gave up.

Cons: The service was poor : no clear explanation of car, inefficient administration, poor car condition (many scratches were found but the staff said it was a new car before showing it to me-not honest) Record Go company charged me extra for a fuel at pick-up, which was wrong. Then the fuel cost was refunded after conversation. However, the interest of my credit card was not refunded.

Pros: Service was poor the staff are not ready to help. do not explain the extras and were ready to charge me nearly £2000 for a car rental I booked online for £38 for 24hrs. Ridiculous

Cons: The address to pick up the car rental is incorrect we ended up forking out money on taxi's and calls as there are 2 addresses with a similar address, which later someone at record-go pointed out.

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 900.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Customers not resident in EU countries are required to present the following document(s): International Driving Permit (IDP) in order to collect the car.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, local address (apartment; hotel; villa; etc.). If the renter is not the main driver, the following coverage is mandatory: Total Comfort Cover.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The deductible/excess amount is from 1100 EUR to 2000 EUR, depending on the car group.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
A deposit will be charged if one of the following cards is used: Debit cards.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard, Visa, Debit cards.
If the customer wishes to use Visa debit card, MasterCard debit card, he/she will be required to purchase Total Comfort Cover.
Cash is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Andorra, France, Portugal, Gibraltar.
Information on the exact fee amount is available by request.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Mobile tablet.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 4 additional drivers.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge of 2 EUR per day.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
For electric vehicles: the customer will receive the vehicle totally charged, and it is NOT necessary to return it with a full charge.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 60 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
During holidays, service outside of business hours is not available.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge of 40 EUR.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number.

Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 360 minutes.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 60 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
The grace period will be honored only during business hours.
