We stayed at Faial Garden Hotel and it was nice. Limited parking close to hotel entrance. We were soaking wet walking to hotel from our car. Good breakfast and dinner. There were very few shopping and restaurant options and even less in the countryside.

Toured the island fully. Easy roads to drive around the island (note: do not take the road from crater to North shore that goes inland. Terrible condition).
