Cons: Process and non flexibility for a late arrival at an AIRPORT where air transport is unpredictable. Flight number was requested but this meant nothing in relation to the booking. 1 hr and your cancelled isn’t acceptable at an airport pick up location

Cons: we were 20 mins late to collect the car due to fight delays, we had advised Viaggiare of the delay. They cancelled the booking with no refund because we were late arriving by 20 mins - although would have provided an unspecified car if we paid the "penalty". The penalty would have been 40 euros had we paid it, who knows where it would have gone as the attendant advised not to tell anyone as he'd get fired - really! They must make a killing on car hire cancellations as the main airline is Ryanair

Pros: It was a nice car. The agent was helpful at pick-up

Cons: They claimed I had damaged the windscreen which could only be seen by the agent when using his phone and spot light about 5mm from the windscreen. Recommend anyone using them to take lots of photos and video of the car condition. I will definitely not use them again.

They tried to charge us for a minuscule very light almost impossible to see scratch (less than 1cm) in the bottom part of the front of the car. When we complained they decided to not charge us (it seemed a premeditated action, where they no-matter-what try to find something to charge you)

Pros: Bad customer service. Car was filthy and not a full tank of fuel. Since being back in the UK they are trying to charge for valeting and scratches that were already there. They didn’t check over the car when we collected it or when we returned it.

Pros: They were polite.

Cons: The car was assigned with "no damage" but there were clearly scratches on the car and damage to the wheels. The staff tried to blame me for these damages when I returned the car but, thankfully, I took pictures when I picked it up and made the staff take note of the damage and was able to prove that I didn't damage the car when I returned it. The staff then assigned the car with "no damage" again for whom I would assume would be the next customer.

Cons: The guy at the desk was disinterested in his customers. On returning the car, he allowed me stand for over 5 minutes while he worked on computer and paperwork. He was in fact finished with me, but failed to say anything in the way of "that's everything, thank you."

Cons: Bad car, very dirty with a lot of damage to the body, not what was advertised. It did not represent good value for money. Battery in the key was dead which makes me think the car was not properly inspected beforehand.

Pros: I have rented from Viaggiare on many occasions, the lady is always lovely, and the cars are good value.

Cons: It was given us a different car from what we’ve booked online (not a problem), putting snow chains on was not easy, the instructions weren’t very clear. And it worked out much expensiver than expected to rent a car with debit card instead of credit card.

Pros: No hassle at pickup or return. Didn't try to sell extra insurance or a more expensive upgrade. Very simple process. Only one minor scratch on the car on pickup, we were advised to photograph damage which I did. Then on return agent asked if I had a photo of any damage when I picked it up, she looked at the photo and there was no issue.

Cons: Feel totally ripped off by the Viaggare agent. When we arrived he said that we had to pay more insurance for him, and also paid cleaning fees and other fees totalling over 240 Euros. And a deposit on top. I was expecting to only have to pay the deposit on arrival. If there are extra fees to pay, this should be made much clearer.

Cons: They gave the car to someone else (most probably because they overbooked) and told us that its because we didn't call them in time. We were actually delayed because the plane couldn't land and obviously we didn't have reception own the plane so we couldn't call. We arrive 1hour 10min late and they said that after 1hr delay they give the car away!! Then they wanted to give us an upgrade and we pay the difference and they didn't because we didn't have a credit card. One excuse after another.

Cons: An amount of € 25.00 was charged for cleaning the car. The car was delivered clean, with the normal use of a car on paved roads wet with rain. Everything seems to be a surcharge in disguise. I submitted a complaint with photos of the vehicle and so far I have not had a response.

Pros: The agents themseleves were ok but they were constrained by the policies and whatever systems viaggiare uses which took an eternity to go through.

Cons: The deposit - the company deducted €900 from my bank card but upon return declaimed that it can take up to 30days to refund it. This is totally unacceptable practice - a week after returning the car I am still out of pocket by €900 despite returning the car undamaged, full of fuel and given the all clear by the sales rep. There is no reason to withhold the deposit for more than a day or two. I will be warning all my colleagues and friends that travel to Italy to avoid this company.

We were faced with fees double to what we were meant to be paying for the rental when we arrived and decided to not rent the car in the end and loose our deposit because of this. Really disappointed that this wasn't more explicit and that they were happy to take our deposit money with a debit card if their policy is so strict for credit cards only

Cons: They did not give a car that was in working order. Had to fill up the Ad blue and was told to bring back the receipt (which I did). Because the receipt did not say ad blue on it but has the auto station from the highway she accused me of lying about the receipt which she remembers me calling about it. The service was horrible, the car had problems starting. they tell you to fix the car bring the receipt back but don’t reimburse you even though they said they would. Horrible place. Never again.
