Pros: Very hassle-free experience renting the car in Verona airport. Office is a bit hard to find as it’s combined with AutoVia. But after that everything was smooth. We had a free upgrade of the car, and it was spacious SUV. Return was very swift too. We parked the car, returned key to the office, and in half an hour received confirmation by mail that contract is closed. Won’t hesitate to use this company again

Pros: The airport agent was sympathetic and the contact in London. Atena, responded quickly and followed up as appropriate. Atena should be recognised for exceeding my expectations despite my incurring considerable cost for alternative care hire due to your company cancelling my contract.

Cons: Was told at desk the car had no defects. On checking, the car had a crack in the windscreen, a dent to the boot lid, and numerous scratches. I spent 15 mins logging and photographing each defect.

Cons: Being told we could have the car but only at a vastly increased price. Either is't illegal to drive on a paper licence or it isn't. This was not an issue with another rental company that we eventually secured a car with. Bad form Optimo Rent, will not be recommending you.

Pros: Friendly, smooth handovers at Verona airport.

Cons: It was not clear from the information I had received that Optimo Rent hires are handled at Verona airport by Autovia. The logo/name Optimo Rent is only displayed on a small cardboard sign on the Autovia desk, which made it difficult to find. On pickup, I had to fill in a form with various bits of information already provided in advance and the agent copied it into their system. This is redundant and inefficient and wastes time.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1760.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Premium Location fee, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

Maximum rental age is 74 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): Italy, EU.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Renters from the following country(ies): Italy must provide the following documents: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill) in order to collect the car.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation.
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 2 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
