Pros: The agent went over the car with me present before I took it. Good work. I stopped using another firm because they didn't do this.

Cons: You told me to deliver the car full of petrol, and that I should fill it at the garage next to the Cpae Town airport. But you can't access the garage from the entry to the airport. So now you will charge me an extra 10%. This is not OK. Also it took ages to enter me on the system - the lady seemed to be having a lot of problems, and kept having to ask for help

Pros: Very easy pick-up and delivery. In the past I have used First Car almost exclusively. In the future I will most definitely consider Thrifty. I usually rent for a full month when we come to South Africa (yearly, in January). I am a "value conscious" shopper, so competitive pricing is very important to me, as is the availability of small fuel-efficient vehicles.

Cons: Had I needed it, I wasn't provided info on where the jack and tire wrench were (under the passenger seat of the little Honda, as I later found out upon inquiry) since there was no owner's manual in the car. I understabnd you don't want owner's manuals disappearing, but some info on where the emergency items are located would have been helpful

Cons: Incorrect car given when we got to the airport, paid for auto but was given a manual. Booking receipt given at the front counter stated automatic. We had to wait for 30mins with our luggage and it was a very hot day, not even an apology, when I rceeived the keys of the next vehicle - no check sheet done, I had to insist on them doing a check sheet to identify existing damages to vehicle as there were alot and wasn't willing to lose my deposit.

Cons: We had a lot of drama because I applied for the car and I drove the car but because the Credit card was in my wife's name it was a horrible drama to sort out

But I explained I didn’t book a specific group but rather a specific car and paid higher for it based on my understanding that I’d get that specific car.

Cons: Thrifty have charged me 3 times for this rental, with no invoice or explanation. I've tried calling and emailing but they refuse to assist. The car itself was horrid, it smelt like a wet dog bed from pickup and was covered in litany of dents and scratches.
