Pros: Great customer service by the agent in Cape Town . Car was immaculately clean and new . Easy check out and return process

Pros: I liked that I didn´t have any problems and it was easy and reliable.

Cons: That I couldn´t reach anyone fast by whats app or chat to extend. Also it would have been great to extand just to do it online, like when you extend with Lufthansa for example.

Pros: I received an email on Dec 26 , the same day I had to replace the rent car , which was a RED CAR, told me there was damaged on the right door of the SILVER CAR !!! I don’t even get a silver car till Dec 26, IT WAS NOT THE RED CAR WHICH I RECEIVED ON November !!!

Cons: They have to exchange the first Red Car Because I brought it back on Dec 26, because of a bad oil leak - they canceled my rental which expired from the beginning on Dec 29, europcar office had to make another booking from Dec 26 to Dec 29 - WORST SERVICE and even blame me for damage on a SILVER CAR ???

Pros: The nice and cheerful staff, the speed of the drop-off process.

Cons: The car I paid for was promised to be a "Corolla or equivalent", while the car I got was a junky Nissan Magnite. The car felt as if it had a lawnmower engine, how can that be an "equivalent"??? I even checked car prices in South Africa, and the Corolla is almost twice the price of a Magnite, how can Europecar consider both these cars as equivalent??? Europcar is running a scam.

Cons: Had to wait over an hour to get our car because they did not have cars in our class. After much complaining they upgraded us to an suv

Pros: Ease of access in the airport parking area. Relatively fast pick-up. Car was clean and agent was helpful regarding which car to choose which gave us more luggage space.

Cons: Drop off was fast except they had no note of a chip in the windscreen so I had to access the report I'd been sent on pick-up to prove the chip existed at pick-up.

Pros: Friendly staff, full to full fuel policy and unlimited mileage with reasonable rates. No manipulative sales tactics to upscale insurance

Cons: Would be nice if holding amount on credit card could be returned sooner, but it’s understandable

Pros: I would not recommend hiring the Renault, "auto shift manual " transmission. The car is a definite safety risk. There is a delay when pulling away, a defenite dangerous safety fault. The car does not have enough power, not a user friendly vehicle. Do Not Take this car.

Cons: We had a question about when the security amount would be returned but there was no toll free number to call, no AI to talk to and no texting or email system to use to get this information. We had to place an international call to the local branch.

Cons: There is a problem in detailing the amounts. There is no clarification and detail of the amount withheld for the value of the car rental and the value of the guarantee, as the entire amount was deducted at once without details.

Cons: 1. When the car category says "VW Polo or similar", you think you get a VW Polo or a similar priced car ... on the market, a Suzuki Swift is rather cheaper than a VW Polo. More honesty in the description would be appreciated. 2. Starting the rental, nobody tells you that a Tracker is installed in the car and will send the speed driven back to Europcar (it might be in the small print, but nobody thought it important to mention it prior). Hence you get SMS reminders and threats from Europcar.

Cons: Long queue 1 hour to collect car. This was painful especially after a very very long flight. This needs great improvement. The office should know when a high volume of renters is coming and plan capacity accordingly.

Cons: There were a fair few scratches on the car, but they made note of those before we drove off. Also they have charged us over £100 after we have dropped off the car, I'm still waiting to hear back on why.

Cons: Lack of explanation to questions, not given a receipt at time of collection, inability to answer phone, charging more than quoted price at counter, no feedback when dropping vehicle back to airport they just take the keys and drive away, then you get a bill for unknown issues which takes me back to trying to contact them with no success! Very basic customer service at Cape Town, would not recommend Europcar!!!
