Pros: I liked the value for money and the speedy pick-up and collect service.

Cons: I didn't like the black, sticker marks on the body when I collected it. I told the person who handed the car to me and he showed me how the marks came off when he rubbed it. I had the car cleaned inside and out before I returned it. I think I handed it back, cleaner than I received it.

Cons: Was also signed as Hertz, that was confusing.

Cons: Car originally provided did not have fold down rear seats and did not have space for a bike box. Agent tried to sell me an upgrade but I asked for a downgrade to a slightly smaller car which had fol-down seats. No refund of the price difference offered.

Cons: SLOWER THAT I EXPERIENCED AT FIRST CAR RENTAL 2 WEEEKS AGO. IT IS NOT THE SERVICE AGEENT, IT WAS RELATED TO THEIR SYSTEM SPPED TO PROCESS THE PICK UP ADMIN

Cons: The comprehensive insurance I took out was a 3rd party - meaning I would have to pay Hertz and then make a claim. That was not clear.

Cons: Our car had a nail in the tyre which we discovered at our first hotel 20 miles away. We couldn’t prove we didn’t pick up the nail (although it was very worn.) Main issue was that the spare would not remove from the car. We called Hertz who sent an agent but he could not remove the spare and agreed there was a problem with it. There was enough air in the tyre to get back to the airport. They changed the car but charged for the tyre and the call out. I emailed the supervisor twice but no respons.

Cons: They told us that there were no scratches on the vehicle, but to take photos if we saw any. There were plenty of scratches - and we did photograph them. We ommitted to look at the tyre rim, which was probably scratched. When we dropped off the car, they immediately said that the rims were scratched and invoiced is us for R4000. If that isn’t a scam - then I don’t know what is. Shocking, no integrity and I will never use Hertz again. They didn’t do their paperwork and we have to pay for it!!

Pros: After I was dissatisfied with the first car, the rental agent quickly arranged a second car to my satisfaction.

Cons: On pickup the rental agent charged my credit card with the security deposit and rental amount. Normally the rental amount is charged and the security deposit amount gets blocked.

Pros: I was very satisfied with the whole process of booking and taking up the rental, thanks.

Cons: I needed more clarity. For future reference please could you let me know if, when booking, it is obligatory to buy Full Coverage, or if it would only be obligatory to pay the Prepayment fee. I was glad to have the coverage, and would probably use it again, but would like to know exactly what the ruling is in this situation. Also please could you let me know how much one saves by using Discover Cars, rather than dealing directly with eg Hertz. Thank you

Cons: I only realized after dropping the car that it wasn't even inspected when I picked it up. Casually the person receiving the car pointed outa small scratch . I told him straight no way... Also still waiting for my deposit payback. No feedback or any breakdown received

Cons: The times stipulated on the booking is not aligned with the average traveler . A flight arriving at 8h30 I cant wait till 11am to get my car. When i leave at 16h00 WHY MUST I pay for an extra day as the booking say I must return by 11h00. It is ridiculous to charge an extra day id the car is retuned 4 hour after 11h00. For this reason I will look for altrenative rental company

Pros: The car was brand new, and the drop off was incredibly easy.

Cons: The queue was ridiculously long, in the heat and only 3 people behind the desk when there were several international flights arriving full of very tired passengers. Also, nowhere were we told or was there signage to indicate that Firefly in Cape Town was operated by Hertz so it was extremely confusing at first trying to work out where we needed to go.

Pros: It was not a professional service: the agent put a pre inspection form in front of me saying car has been checked and no damage. She told me just to sign. I told her that Im not signing a document until ive inspected the car myself. She became quite defensive at this. When i inspected the car it was full of dmage which i made her mark on the document before i sign. I do not appreciate a car rental agency that tries to deceive me!

Cons: The staff were not friendly and then the car they offered me had scrapes and scratches and they had not noted this down on the form. It wasn’t until I highlighted this to them but they seemed disinterested. I am most certainly not going to engage with them ever again from that experience.

Pros: The car we were given was disgusting. It was dented, scratched, and dirty. The bootlid didn’t work properly. Also, the car wasn’t full of fuel when we picked it up.
