Emraan was in continious touch with me to sort the situation out and guide me through the process and got me a replacement there and then. Deidre did the paperwork in super sharp time. Pros: BLUU did not fully recognize the contract with Discover. They failed to give us a Mercedes C class that was ordered, the rate quoted qualified for one class lower, an Audi A4. The deposit I paid in advance of $110 was not calculated into the final contract, I am now out of pocket $110 and I am requesting Discover to refund me. It took us one hour and a lot of acrimony to check-in. In the end, we had no choice but to accept BLUU’s interpretation of the Discover contract.

I have not been in touch with Blu to find out as it was a small amount, not worth my time to follow up.

Cons: The key remote battery was flat & so it was a struggle to lock/unlock the car. I went back to airport rental agency to ask for a new remote or battery replacement & was told "no, its not possible, please use the key to open ". This however caused the central locking to be inactive, which was very inconvenient.

Cons: It took over an hour to pick up the car. Customer service reps would look up after finishing with a customer, see a long queue and simply walk away from the desk rather than helping the next person in line. There were only 6 people in front of me and it took this long despite there being 12 customer service reps. Awful. It's also a good thing I arrived back at the airport early to hand in the vehicle as it again took nearly 30 minutes. Bad experience

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 620.00), Theft Protection, Contract fee, Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications, State Tax.
Mileage policy
For international renters, mileage is unlimited.

A local renter is defined as a renter who is a resident of South Africa.
For local renters mileage is limited to 100 km per day.
The cost for additional mileage (mileage extension) depends on the vehicle type.
Details are available at the car rental company's reservation office.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket.
Deposit and deductible policy

Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.

For the Economy, Luxury, Intermediate, Premium car group, a minimum of two credit cards issued on the main driver's name are required.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
For an additional charge of 2030 ZAR, crossing country borders is available to the following country(ies): Botswana, Namibia.
Crossing country borders is forbidden to the following countries: Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia.
One Way rentals are available only within the state.
International one-way rentals are not available.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), GPS Navigation system, Cross border fee.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 21 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
