Noleggiare at Alghero Fertilia Airport

Cons: I had to pay 180 euros for a 2 mm damage to a soft plastic element on the underside of the car that was visible to the naked eye. Unfortunately, due to the location of the defect, there was no photo of the car at the time of pick up showing this part of the car. The rental company's mechanic wanted to pay for 2 defects with me before, but luckily there was a photo of me taking it over like this. We are talking about defects that are truly invisible to the naked eye, not scratches or dents.

Cons: Agent No1 told us we couldn't pick the car earlier. In other words she sent us to spend our money to other shops in the airport. Agent No2 five minutes later told us we could take immediately a different, more expensive car. Which we did. This person is the proper businessman, the company should appreciate such people!

Cons: Awful from start to finish. If you’re on a flight and your flight gets delayed, they give your car away. We were 2hrs and 15mins delayed and they said our car had been given to someone else and we now had no choice by to pay 3x the amount They are also the only company that requires an international driving licence, if you don’t have one you’re screwed!

Pros: This was a ripoff The company Noleggiare, refused to give us a car because we didn’t have an International driver license, after a few minutes they decided that they can offer a car if we pay an extra 480 + 250 euros equivalent to an extra $1000 Canadian dollars. We had to pay the amount and suck it up as there were no other rental cars at any other company at the airport. Buyer beware, this is a big scam.. we will definitely call discovery Car.

Cons: Nothing, they’re a bunch of thieves that take advantage of tourists that come to their country. I’ve been going to Italy for the last 20 years and renting cars. That was the worst experience and discovery Car stipulates in the contract that you might need an international driver license. Buyer beware, get an international driver license because without it you’re gonna pay thousands more if not, they will not give you a rental. What a shame.

Cons: After 1 week of giving a car back, the deposit wasn’t released yet. The Noleggiare says they do it immediately, as well as my bank :)) have to wait 2 weeks now when it will be released automatically

Cons: No windscreen washer. No direct communication with the car rental company, which was annoying when our flight had a 2 hrs delay. Announced the delay to discovercars team, hoping that they would inform nollegiare. Instead i got the message from discovercars that car is guaranteed for one hour, something that was not mentioned in the conditions. It is also better to discuss directly with the car rental company. They tried to sell their insurance, saying that what discovercars offers is a refund.

Cons: They do not accept debit cards for deposit payments, the line for picking the car up for 1h, they claimed the full coverage from discovercars was not going to cover anything and made us pay more. We cancelled the reservation.

When I told them we have our insurance they start being rude, they gave us car seat and didn’t want to help or show us how to put in the car , we tried for half hour on 45+ Celsius to instal , with small baby and pregnant wife . After all they charged us for deposit , when I called them they said they gonna give us back , but never happened. After couple days they stop answering on there phone . I end up disputing with my bank.

Cons: The car did not have a radio or a USB plug. This was problematic for long drives where phone batteries died. I did not like the fact I paid for insurance twice: once with discovercars.com and once with Noleggiare. This should be figured out between the two sources.

Cons: The car had some scratches and the tire was slightly damaged when I picked up the car. I had to point this out, otherwise I would be then responsible for that. Be very careful when picking up the car and check it for any damages. Do not rely on the agent that they will know about all damages.
