Pros: The staff communicated clearly in English and were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout.

Cons: If I had to mention one downside, it wouldn't actually be specific to Locauto. It seems to be true for all the rental companies at Milan Linate Airport. Finding the correct return area can feel like a little treasure hunt because the signs aren't as clear as they could be. Once you find it, everything else is smooth and efficien, but a few more signs would make the experience perfect!

Pros: Never a long wait, clear instructions but they didn’t try to keep you doing unnecessary checks due to “smart check in”. Never used this location or company but will be my first choice when we return.

Cons: They refused to walk around with me on the pick up ,only hand me over peace paper to sign, and refused to walk around on the drop off too, eve refused to take the keys as I had to bring it back to the office by own guest, and to make things worse they sent an email ask me to pay for blocked back lights which was perfect when I left

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1200.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): EU countries.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

Driver licenses from the following country(ies): China will be accepted only if the translation is approved by the Consulate or Embassy.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), local address (apartment; hotel; villa; etc.), telephone number statement (as proof contact number belongs to driver).
In order to pick up the car, domestic renters must present the following documents: additional ID showing home address (e.g. Utility bill).
Deposit and deductible policy
The deposit amount is 0.01 EUR.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Snow chains.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

During winter season (from 15.11. until 15.04.) Snow chains are included in price.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.10 to 15.04 in the following regions: Aoasta-Valley.

Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number, train number.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 59 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
