In 2023, Green Rent A Car will be the only rental company in Bulgaria that will have the brand new Toyota Yaris Cross and Toyota Aygo X available to renters. The company only rents out those brands of cars exclusively.

Green Rent a Car is the perfect choice for renting a car in Bulgaria if you don’t have a credit card. While many rental companies require a credit card to leave the deposit on, Green accepts debit cards for this (unless you plan to leave the country with the vehicle, as noted below). You can also rent a car for one-way travel with Green. Keep in mind that the company only has offices in Bulgaria, so this means travel between Bulgarian cities and not international one-way rentals.
Renters using Green Rent a Car are allowed to take the vehicle to neighboring the neighboring countries of Serbia, Macedonia Greece, and Romania. They are not allowed to take them to Turkey in most cases, though it may be possible if the renter were to contact the company in advance. If you plan to travel to any of those countries with the vehicle, then you’ll need to contact the company at least three business days before you are set to pick up the vehicle. You’ll need your driver’s license, of course, your ID card or passport depending on whether you need the latter for the country you plan to visit, to be at least 23 years old, and have a credit card. Though you can usually rent a vehicle with Green Rent a Car with a debit card as mentioned above, to take a vehicle outside of Bulgaria, you have to have a credit card so that the company can put a hold of double the normal deposit amount. Finally, you’ll have to pay an additional fee to be able to travel outside of Bulgaria with the vehicle. The amount of this fee depends on the vehicle you reserve.
