City Centre Car Rentals at Perth Airport

Pros: City Centre cars have now provided me with 3 separate vehicles on my last 3 visits to Perth WA. I cannot faulty the service they provide.

Cons: Pick up and drop off after office hours is now provided by a partner. It was clearly explained to me prior to arriving what I needed to do. The service was very well run.

Pros: They just value you as a customer, the car was great, the pick up was easy, they even collected us from a nearby motel to collect the car, they are very special young people in this company, a joy to give business too. Thank you City Centre Car Rentals..👍👏👏👏

Pros: They said 'their T&C are what matters but gave us a one dollar daily discount because I said we booked through Discovery but now you are stand by your T&C

Cons: We returned the car one day prior to contract (12 days because of the after 5pm drop off) however when I asked for a refund on one day when we notified them 5 days before drop off tgat we will return the car within their 5pm tome (brought the car back a 4pm) so back to 11 day hire they said they won't refund.

Cons: No back shelf with car so the luggage was always on show. We arrived late (paid a supplement for this) and when we realised there was no back shelf, the agent had shut the shop and gone home! Beware the small print; we paid for unlimited mileage but this was within a 500km radius of Perth, so we were forced to pay an extra $150 to complete our planned trip to Esperance (about 700 km).

Pros: Very simple set up, easy to get going, rental terms very simple, very accommodating at drop off, super reasonable price

Cons: The car had a chip in the windscreen that was super worrying, and lots of nicks in the front bumper - I was worried we would be charged for these, as they were not all listed on the manifest, but some of them were? Seemed very chaotic. It’s a small operation, and very out of the way, hard to find honestly. Also car had the most noisy aircon system - felt like something was loose as it rattled from The moment we picked it up.

Cons: Car had 112000 km on odometer when picked up. Have hired cars all over the world. Never had a car with such high odometer. Couple of days into rental engine warning light comes on. Instructed by rental company to go to service garage and get diagnostic, then day later couldn’t close drivers window, had to pull it up by hand. End of rental was refunded for mechanic diagnostic and 10% of daily rental charge for inconvenience. Issue is not the credits but why have a car on the road that has issues.

Pros: **Highly Recommend City Centre Car Rental!** We had an excellent experience with City Centre Car Rental during our first trip to Perth. The staff were incredibly helpful, the car was brand-new and spotlessly clean, and the rental process was quick and straightforward. We couldn’t have asked for a better service. Without a doubt, we’ll be booking with them again on our next visit to Perth!

Cons: The additional charges to drive outside Perth city was not make known initially. I came to learn about the add on when signing the agreement. Not sure if the rest of the suppliers are the same but the extra aud150 could make a difference. Similarly, unsure if the supplier just outside the airport terminal requires extra charge for pick up and return outside office hours.

Cons: opted for the full cover insurance, however if there was a claim the first $4500 would be charged to my credit card and then I would have to claim back from City Centre insurance, which I thought was not good. Other car rental places do not operate like this, if you take full insurance then they sort everything with their insurance company and no excess is charged to your card and then you have to claim back. If I have know this I would have just used the travel insurance rental car excess cover

Pros: Excellent service from City Centre Car Rentals. The car provided was near new with low kilometres and drove really well. We had no issues with the car the whole rental period. The provision of their courtesy car to pick us up from the airport at the beginning of the rental period and then return us to our final accommodation at the end of the rental period was deeply appreciated. There were no issues about the condition of the car on return and the refund of the damage deposit was swift.

The car itself was in great condition, was very clean and we had no issues with it throughout our 19 day rental. We extended our rental with very little notice at the end to an out of hours time and city car rentals were great at making arrangements to drop the car off at the airport which was fantastic. Would definitely use these guys again

Cons: Bizarrely they close at 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays so an out of hours surcharge is payable. Not excessive (ours was AUD68, 10% of the hire charge) but a little crazy given they're serving an international airport.

They take a long time to come and pick you. - waited at least 20 minutes after I called although I followed instructions to only call after I had picked up luggage and was waiting for them already. If they take so long to come they should advice us to contact them while waiting for luggage

Cons: I booked the car from Monday noon till Friday night. When we arrived there the drop off time said 11am and for later drop off we had to pay another day.. so many things went wrong, I cannot recommend this place, I’m sorry! I even told the staff but they didn’t do anything.

Cons: The lack of a car user manual to allow you to work out what the warning lights meant - Had to google their meaning. Was very surprised that they were hiring out a vehicle with panel damage and front clip broken.

Pros: Good service We accidentally left a baggage at the rental and the representative helped to send it back to us at the airport.

Cons: The GPs is not good. If can provide GPS system that’s is integrated with the car’s navigation system that’ would be good . Though I paid for the GPS, never used it. Just used google maps only

Pros: Car didn’t start on first time in a couple occasions and engine sounded like it was going to blow up p it was so loud

Pros: When we arrived, we were given a car. When we checked it, we realised that it was much too small for us. My husband is over 6 feet tall. I asked if it was possible to organise another car and the agent very kindly organised another vehicle which was appreciated.

Cons: There are no public toilets at the facility, which is difficult when often people have just come from long flights etc.

Cons: CarPlay not fully functional and fortunately it was finally resolved with change of car. This is a good recovery dispute the initial hiccup
