Pros: Thrifty was fine, it was discovercars that was the problem - I had to pay fees at pick-up despite being explicitly told by your company that I had already paid for everything.

Cons: I selected discovercars to make this booking because you offered a cheaper price, but the way this was achieved was by misleadingly obscuring a substantial additional fee due upon pick-up - again, despite explicitly stating in all of the emails you sent me that there were no fees due upon pick-up. Definitely not using your company again.

Cons: the first car we recieved was dirty and sticky everywhere, it was discusting. the second car we got was nearly new, so the cleanlyness was good. but the car had a problem with the front sensor, so the speed cruise control was unusuable for the most time. this was horrible especially when driving on such long roads like australia!!

Cons: The lady who served me was abrupt and didn't give me all the information I needed. Had I not asked about drop off I would have returned car to same place which was not the correct terminal for our departure. It was late at night for us and we lined up for ages to pick up car after lining up at the wrong place first.

Pros: I had to go to Hertz counter and that was full of Hertz and Thrifty customers. I had to wait on a long queue. The struggled to get my deposit so I had to spend another 20 minutes at the counter. Thrifty Counter was empty and that's not staff's problem. Car hire companies now try to cut costs by downgrading the service and increase the profit margins. They are pretty much similar to Qantas now.

Cons: I had to go to the hertz counter and there was a long wait.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver, Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications, State Tax, Surcharges.
Rate excludes
The following surcharges may apply: Accident Administration fee, Premium Location surcharge, VAT, Recovery Fee, Airport Surcharge.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.
An E-toll charge will apply; personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.

Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).
UK customers must bring their DVLA check code along with their photo ID. This check code can be obtained from the DVLA website.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: 2 proofs of home address (e.g. Utility bill), that is valid for at least 3 months before the pick up date.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 29 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
