Pick-up instructions
MELBOURNE AIRPORT SERVICE
(Please read very carefully!). Please call +613 8306 3000 PARK & FLY AIRPORT PARKING (PARK & FLY Shuttle Bus) after you have collected your baggage. You will then be collected by a PARK & FLY shuttle bus and transported to their office and the vehicle. Allow approx. 15 minutes for this process.
As you are picking up your car from the Tullamarine depot, you will be dealing with PARK & FLY AIRPORT PARKING who is contracted to pick you up and drop you off from the terminal.
As you will not be dealing with Cheaper Car Rental staff, the paperwork has been completed for you to sign and have taken a video of the car to ensure you know the condition we left it in at PARK & FLY AIRPORT PARKING.
You are required to fill in the damage report left for you, and encouraged to take your own video prior to leaving PARK & FLY AIRPORT PARKING for your own reference as well.

Drop-off instructions
If you are returning the vehicle to the airport, please return the vehicle back to the same place at 10 - 11 DIB COURT, TULLAMARINE VIC 3043, and you will be transported to the terminal in a shuttle bus immediately.

Cons: The rental company charged the $500 bond over two weeks before we arrived in Australia, well before the free cancellation period ended, which was unexpected. The bond was also held for another two weeks after the vehicle was returned. In addition, the vehicle’s transmission was not functioning properly, with the next gear sometimes failing to engage, which caused concern while driving in unfamiliar areas.

Pros: Service was quick and instructions were clear. The car, at it's normal state, was easy to drive and comfortable.
Cons: The car windows were dusty and mostly importantly, the tires were low in pressure. We picked up the car at midnight, hectic and tired after a long flight. When we drove up to the highway, it was clear that the car was not stable and need a hard grip on the steering wheel to keep the car driving straight. Thr next day we checked the tire pressure at the gas station and the four tires ranged from 19 to 29 psi (30 to 36 normal).

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Mileage: 1000 km per rental, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 2990.00), Theft Protection, Outside of business hours, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Mileage policy
Mileage is limited, there will be a surcharge for each additional km. Mileage is limited to 200 km per day.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
