Agents were extremely unhelpful and the booster seats that we arranged for in advance were not available and it took an extra 45 minutes for them to find some. When they were found, they were toddler booster seats which were too small for my children, which lead to uncomfortable traveling for my kids for our entire trip. Overall a terrible experience for a single mom traveling with 2 kids, having to spend an unnecessary additional 90 minutes.

When you arrive at the rental place there are about 30 things tacked onto the cost which was not in the initial booking. I would’ve never selected a car I needed to put out $904 for when I agreed to pay about $275. Literally the absolutely worst service.

Cons: The desk clerk was worse than I knew a desk clerk could be. He knowingly lied to me about many things with the car rental trying to upsell me. It was an extremely stressful experience. I'm not sure if he was sexist, upset that I was wearing a mask, or just wanted to be rude. I'm used to and prepared for ordinary upselling. I am not used to the desk clerk lying to my face and doubling down when challenged on that lie to try to force me into upgrades. That said, everyone else at Ace was lovely.

How ever when I return the car with 3/4 gas tank full, I was told I have to pay full tank gas price. So I have to go out to fill gas and back to return.

Cons: They aren’t actually on airport property which takes additional time to pick up and drop off a car. The shuttle to their offsite rental location was relatively quick though. The agent falsely claimed how the prepaid fuel works. She made it sound like their fuel rate of $4.00 was less than the local area per gallon. That was not even close to true. She also avoided mentioning that they charge the price of a complete tank of gas (@ $5.60 a gallon) even though it was returned with 5/8 of a tank.

I finally had to tell him "you don't actually know how much I am planning to drive on my trip"

Cons: Ad says it is a Hyundai suv but actual car I got was a Jeep; but keep is a great car, just cost a little more fuel than the Hyundai would, I guess. Maybe the ad company mixed up. But the Jeep is more comfortable so it is a great trip overall.

Pros: All the staff were helpful helpful and friendly. Some instructions weren’t clear so we stood way too long in a line we didn’t need to be in.

Cons: The smell of Marijuana smoke in the hot stuffy room where you pay and sign. Not appreciated. Legal state for it or not, it’s unprofessional in a working environment.

Cons: Felt agent was dishonest about what he was trying to sell me. Felt took too much of my time wheeling and dealing. Did not like the tactics employed to sell me or tell me what I needed. Additionally it’s a misrepresentation to say the car rental agency is available off-site but easily accessed through shuttle bus. First it’s falsely advertised because you have to catch two shuttle buses - moving your luggage twice to get to your destination. It also adds 30 minutes to your trip.

Pros: They did not have an SUV that we reserved. They tried to argue with us and put 4 adults with 4 sets of luggage into a Nissan kicks. It just doesn’t work. Instead they decided to give us a mini van that we had to get up the side of multiple mountain trips in one week. First they asked us to take the minivan then come back in an hour to get an SUV. Seeing as how we were headed directly out of town this was not anywhere close to feasible. There were rows of jeeps and other SUVs waiting.

Cons: When we asked about the jeeps just sitting there we were told “oh those aren’t ready.” Never once we’re we offered to wait a few minutes while they pulled an SUV around and cleaned it for us to have (like our reservation stated). Every single person behind us was forced into a minivan as well. Those were the only vehicles available. Unsatisfactory.

She was arguing with the guy before me too and seemed generally argumentative. It was a weird and unfortunate experience. Does she get paid to add on these charges? Cons: Salesman was extremely pushy and rude... most rude and condescending I've ever experienced. Also, on return they tried to claim I dented the car. I told them repeatedly that I pointed out all dents, and to check the photos. They finally backed down when the lady to the same photo and said she actually couldn't see the dent in the photo (just like the one the first guy took)... just overall terrible service from everyone. Will never rent from them again.

Pros: Computer system problems had the place very backed up at pickup. Employees were dealing with grumpy clients fairly well. The pickup process was a little confusing, but folks were able to get through issues fairly quickly.

Cons: I was offered to upgrade, for an extra fee because they didn’t have the size of car I reserved. Should not and would not pay extra. Found a car in the right size, but then tried to downsize me to a smaller car. When I went to drive away, the car didn’t match my paperwork and they tried to make me change cars. I told them to please correct the paperwork, to which they obliged. Problems arise, but these were not normal and not necessary. It was kind of frustrating to have to deal with.

Cons: My receipt said “at pick up pay this amount $217.63”, deposit was already $86.17, and my total was going to be $303.80 (excluded the “holding fee” which was explained in the terms and condition). At Ace rent a car my grand total was $421.76 (and add $300 which is the holding fee), remember I already deposited $86.17. So I was being charged over $500? Ace was charging for additional rental insurance, additional taxes and fees that were not in the terms and conditions or my original receipt????

Cons: Seemed to have a bad wheel bearing or tire out of balance in the rear. The most frustrating was the customer service. I called 2 days prior to my drop off with no answer, I then sent an email with no response. I finally got in touch with someone at customer service the day of my drop off to request dropping off a few hours later due to my flight schedule. I was told sure, and that I would not face any late fee. While there was no late fee, I was charged a full days rate instead of pro rated.
