- Villas. Treviso is nothing if not its antique villas — there are more than 15 of them that have some heritage status or another. Known collectively as the Palladian villas of Veneto after the Italian architect Andrea Palladio who designed them, they can be found in Treviso, as well as the surrounding towns and villages.
- Piazza dei Signori. No visit to Treviso is complete without seeing its beating heart, Piazza dei Signori, or the Lord’s Square. City center of Padua is nice and shops are high standard, Ravenna and the musea were marvellous, Venice was not to crowded and we visited less known parts of the island! From Malcontenta where we stayed we had direct bus connection to piazzale Roma! Rimini was nice also with a very big beach area but a lot of restaurants was closed in the Easter holiday period!

Italy has great places to visit, basically everywhere. We got the car from Treviso which is super convenient to go to dolomiiti in the North circuit and in the South there's Venezia, Bologna, Parma, Cremona, Verona, etc. Everything within 40 minutes to 2-2.5 hours drive.

I went to a ski resort. It was very dangerous to travel because the whole car was skidding on the road because summer tires were installed. Also, in my opinion, a thorough inspection of the car was not carried out before handing over the car to the customer, because during the drive it turned out that the snow protection of the tires was screwed into the chassis of the car (for driving on a snowy road)

We experienced heavy snow falls and had to use the snow chains provided. Fixing chains while being exposed to elements is a terrible experience. Winter tyres should be provided in northern Italy despite legislation that does not make it mandatory. This is why we prefer renting from Munich airport and driving to northern Italy.

Driving from Treviso to Venice, through Tuscany for a few days stopping in Pisa, Monteriggioni, and Florence, then all the way down to Rome was gorgeous and ran quite smoothly. Highways are in great shape. Food was spectacular in every city, every stop.

Yep, we ended up getting a DR small SUV and it was perfect for what we needed. We travelled for 3 weeks, north to south of Italy with one tent and had no problems. The car engine was pretty small so 130km/h on the freeway was pushing it hard but all fine, just a bit slow.
