Services and facilities
You’ll find a wide array of restaurants, cafeterias, and bars, a duty-free shopping area and other stores, an international currency exchange bureau with an ATM, a number of lounges, a lost and found service, a medical clinic, pharmacy, interfaith centers, an art gallery, and several exhibition spaces. The luggage storage service, called Excess Baggage, is on level 1 of Terminal 1. Wheelchair and mobility assistance is available but should be arranged in advance with the help of your airline. Nearest gas station
A Shell station is located right next to the airport at 5869 Airport Road. It takes about one minute to reach the airport from it and it is open 24/7. This is the most convenient station for those returning cars at the airport.
Those returning cars to off-airport rental locations will find other gas stations more convenient. For example, there are two stations, a Shell and an Esso, at the intersection where Routes Car Rental is located (Derry Rd. and Rexwood Rd.).
If renting from Surprice, a Mobil station a block north of Surprice’s location on Highway 27 is convenient to fill up at before dropping off your rental car.
Zoom, which also services a Mex Rent a Car and Nu Car Rentals, is located right next to a Canadian Tire Gast + station. There is also a Husky station across the street.
Green Motion is located further north along the same street (Dixie Road) and is right next to another station, an Esso station in this case.
Finally, Discount and Ace are located very close to the airport across from the Toronto Congress Centre. A Shell station can be found 100 meters to the east along the same road (Dixon Road).
If renting from Surprice, a Mobil station a block north of Surprice’s location on Highway 27 is convenient to fill up at before dropping off your rental car.

I have done over 1000 kilometres over the course of 5 days. Car behaved fantastic and exceeded my expectation (I was driving JEEP Gladiator - which was a complete overkill .... in short loved how it handled on the road) I have visited Niagara waterfall and I visited Tobermory. Then visited some fantastic restaurants which were recommended by locals.

There was no issues with the rental at all, transaction was smooth and easy. The only reason I am scoring them 7 is because of the staff, from the driver who picked us up at the airport, the staff who helped me during rental, the staff who attended to us when we returned the car up to the person who dropped us off at the airport, none of them were smiling, none was friendly and they interacted with me in a way that they had some type of authority over me.

I found this car rental company from online, the price is very reasonable. When I arrived at Toronto airport, it is easy to follow its instruction to find its rental office. The prickup process was very simple and quick, the agent was very nice.
The car is easily to be driven, met my exception.
After I returned the car, I got free shuttle to airport.
I will rent the car again when I go to Toronto.

The vehicle pick-up and the quality of the vehicle was very easy and efficient. I picked up and dropped off on weekend mornings and there was no waiting as I have experienced picking up at airports. We traveled around eastern and southwestern Ontario with no problems. The vehicle was a Dodge Caravan which provided lots of space for family bags and the loading of the family was quick and easy.

If you are moving in downtown, car is not needed and will pay a lot on parking while spending time in jams. If you are visiting suburbs, definately get one because distances are huge.

Car is really useful depending on the type of travel you wish to do. Tips would be to travel off rush hour, and some defensive driving tips for the major highways. QEW, 401 and other roads can be challenging for people not used to these types of roads, and the style of driving with all the collector lanes. Having GPS on your phone is a huge asset.
