Cons: They accused me of damaging a car and charged extra $$$ for this, providing no evidence or documentation for the charge. This is a business with questionable reputation. As of now, their status is "permanently closed" on Google.
Pros: They are expert at bait and switch tactics. I appreciate that they wait until you get to the counter before they inform you that they will be charging extra "fees and taxes" above the "pay at counter" price quoted by Discover cars.
Cons: They cancelled my reservation after I had already travelled to Toronto. I was asked to etransfer $150 after hours fee. I agreed to pay at the counter. After repeated questioning and evasive responses, an estimate over 30% the "pay at counter" price form Discover was goven to me. $1400 to over $2000. Avoid like the plague. Bait and switch. Discover cars only responded to me after 3 attempts through their web portal and 4 or 5 days after a direct email (I had to search for).

Cons: I would never recommend swift or discover cars to book a car. It was the most difficult time and also charged me for no reason for insurance that I didnt have to buy and I was told I can just call later and get it back but it should have been cancell

Pros: There's something not right about this car rental company. They are not here to do busines. At the time of rental I was told about several conditions that I was not aware of including driving limitation of 300 kms per day. So for a two day rental I just get 600 kms n my cottage itself was over 300 kms one way. Asking for deposit and insurance was acceptable as like any other company. What took me by surprise that they wanted me sign a blank preauthorization after agreeing to pay deposit.
Cons: I still don't understand the significance of getting a blank pre authorization signed with no information on that piece of paper. Called up Amex and strictly asked to not sign any preauthorization and called it illegal n unethical. They cancelled my rental just to gain sadistic pleasure of ruining our vacation. Hence my comment on ' they r not here to do business' Beware!
Cons: Distance to rental location was a bit confusing
Cons: Upon arrival to the airport, you are asked to call the representative to pick you up. They do not know who they’re picking up, so when you ask them if the car is for you they shrug their shoulders. The car was in awful condition. Their systems were down. They charged us more than what we agreed upon. I did not receive an invoice upon returning the car. The list goes on.
Cons: Dodgy operation. Note they do not have a website, do not exist on Google Maps. They do a bait and switch. Prices do not include insurance that is required by law. Expect to add $35/day to their price. Also not unlimited kms. They also took my credit card and made a blank carbon copy slip, so they can write in any charge at a later date. It's like signing a blank cheque to them. Also note if they are closed you will have trouble getting to/from the terminal.
Pros: I arrived late because of my flight being delayed and they had a driver on standby to pick me up after hours

Cons: the car seat was old and definitely not up to government standard. I paid for a seat my grandson could not use. I was required to pay a refundable security deposit but till today (June 22) 11 days since we returned the rental car, we have not received our security deposit

Pros: This car rental was bad service and insurance hoggers. They exploit people who had already booked by looking at lower price , just to find out that pick up price to be way more ! They make their own insurance mandatory at the desk. Crooks! I will never recommend these people

Cons: These are not complaints, just some suggestions. 1) The Mileage limit mentioned in the Discovercars.com says "Mileage: 3000 km per rental" and does not mention 200 km per day limit. 2) When searching on Google map for "Swift Rent-A-Car" it does not show the name. So please see if you can add your business in Google map. 3) After arriving at 5775 Atlantic Dr, we cannot immediately know where is the rental office. It may be good to add the unit number as well in your website. Thank you !!

Pros: Very friendly and efficient service. It was my first time renting a car in Canada and the team were so helpful and thoroughly answered any questions I had. It also helps that they’re open on a Sunday as this was when I needed to drop off the car. Would recommend!
Cons: Never rent from this place again. Added an unnecessary charge when I was there and in a position where I couldnt go somewhere else. Never been put in this position renting anywhere in Canada or USA

Cons: Car smelled strong of cigarette smoke, which was hard to tolerate. Customer service rep spent more time trying to see damages we caused which were already there than they did assessing the car before we took it. Felt like a scam. Husband was forced to be charged 500$ in which he was only refunded 400$ with no explanation regardless of the fact that we were forced into additional insurance coverage.

Cons: Low quality, over-priced vehicle (Nissan Micra with approximately 100,000 kms, squeaky brakes and an odor inside) that had costs that were hidden at the time of booking.
Cons: Hidden charges. Would not accept a decline of LDW/ CDW without proof of 3rd party insurance - who travels with an insurance certificate from their home automobile? Stacked charges that were not part of online agreement, no transparency as to their meaning (like a daily VLATR charge)
