Get a Sat/Nav as that will help very much, if you do not know Port Elizabeth or any major city in South Africa. We needed a car, as PL is spread out. As for things we did: a game drive, the lovely beach, went to different places to eat and drink coffee; visited the impressive Bay West shopping complex and chilled out. South Africa/Port Elizabeth are well worth visiting. Please do not be put off by all the crime. Rather be careful and no driving in the dark.
