I have notified all other employees of my company they are not allowed to rent from Routes I will not approve the rental reimbursement.

Pros: After waiting in an insanely long line, we were at the counter and ready to rent. After all paperwork was done the front desk lady realized no one had checked the car out. She then told us to sit in the lobby and she would do it. The part that blew our mind is she did not immediately get us our car, she instead took other customers in line before deciding it was time to actually had us keys.

Cons: Unless you have all day to waste, I would stay away from this “not exactly” company. There is many other companies that deserve your business over them.

Pick up from the airport took a little longer than we liked. After an uncomfortable slight, we'd like better pick up times. One shuttle maybe this is hard. Will consider closer car rental next time.

Cons: A very unusual policy of giving you a car without a full tank of gas when you pick up your rental. My car had only a quarter tank of gas when I picked it up. They didn't inform me of this and I had to drive back to the car rental facility (since they don't pick up their phone) to find out that this was intentional. They asked me to bring it back at the same level. The policy seems designed to either result in fees if you come back with less gas or in free gas for Routes if you come back w/ more.

Pros: Once we got there, friendly & efficent team member though had to wait for car to be “cleaned” - see other ratings. Ease of checkout was great and quick service back to APO.

Huge crack in windshield that covered the entire right side of car - and scared to death that something else might completely collapse it as we made our way over CO on 70 & back. Also no interior lights worked and we tried to fix for hours but a fuse must have been blown.

The guy seemed very put out he was even having to work. Definitely seemed upset that we had 2 ski bags with us (we were on a ski trip, flew from Tennessee to Denver to ski at Breckenridge). Also, it's quite confusing figuring out where to go since they don't have a sign, and it's also easy to miss the sign for Routes when dropping the car back off. The "office" was a run-down trailer with a metal ramp to the front door, and, honestly, when you walk in you feel like you're in somebody's living room instead of a place of business.

Then customer service deflected questions and offered no help. Email has not been responded to and website offers no assistance in helping file a report/dispute regarding a lost reservation. Also forcing people to pay fully up front over just the refundable deposit was the first red flag that this is a scam operation.

I think the phrase was "that's a bankruptcy women" right there - then laughingly turns and shows me the photo they were looking at wanting my opinion (half-naked woman in lingerie). Truck I picked up had a crack across the entire windshield that wouldn't pass an inspection if you were asked to put it through one.

And the company felt okay enough to put my family including my 4 year old in this vehicle.

Cons: The operation is based out of a trailer with poor customer relations. Employee car totally damaged is in the front entrance walking into the building giving you a very poor impression. The vehicle was not clean, had many service alerts flashing, the left rearview mirror was completely busted up, the window was chipped, and only 1/8 of a tank of gas. I was pulled over and received a citation for an expired license plate.

Cons: car has bad tires, low tire pressure in one wheel and sensors mailfunctions

Pros: It literally couldn’t get worse. I sat and waited outside in 18 degree windy weather for nearly an hour for the shuttle to pick me up to take me to pick up the car. After multiple cars and someone telling me they would be there in 10 mins and still never showed up. I jumped on an Avis shuttle and had to rent a car from them. I’ve sent 2 emails. 1 to Routes and 1 to discover cars and still have not heard back from discover cars

Pros: I think I caught them at a good time so my experience was probably better than others. They only have one shuttle bus and they also have a passenger van. The DIA pickup is literally the last stop on island 5. We lucked out as the shuttle came by just as we walked out of baggage claim. We got upgraded to a full size SUV ... mostly since the rental agent didn't looking up the reservation first.

Cons: It bare bones operation... the employees were talking about how big of a rush they were expecting and given the staff/operations it sounds like they have some painfully difficult times for all involved. Do not expect a experience like with Hertz or Avis. Their terms are very customer unfriendly so really think about what you are doing with the rental and what you need. You only have a two hour pickup window so better hope your flight is on time.

Cons: Requirement to share personal insurance information without any prior notice of need. Made me call my insurance agent to obtain policy number or pay for their rental insurance. First time in nearly 30 years of travel to run into this matter. Manager refused to provide requirement in writing only stating that it is company policy.

Cons: I would have preferred the staff to wear masks. I would have preferred more frequent shuttles to the airport as we waited 35 minutes after returning the car.

Pros: I feel robbed - the attendants were quick but were not clear about how bad the condition of the car was. They lied to me when they told me I was to receive an upgrade - instead they gave me a car with a cracked windshield, ruining my trip and making us feel unsafe during our rental.

Cons: Hunter was rude…I rented a car and wanted to know why my receipt was different than when I paid by almost $200. I gave some excuse that because it was made online and I have an extra driver. Car was dirty and engine sounded rough!

Cons: I have never experienced such a poor rental agency. The rental car facility was a small shack, filled with flies. Employees seemed unknowledgeable and unenthused. Many things were not made clear when booking with the agency. A gentlemen came in and was informed he could not book as a Colorado resident, we were informed last minute that we could not return the rental car before 6am and that we could leave our car at the Westin Denver for a $100 fee, etc. The car was only moderately clean....

Cons: They placed a $500.00 hold on my credit cards before they let me rent the car. I was shocked by this, especially after I had paid for the rental in advance. They said that this information was on their website. This wasn't mentioned at the time of rental. Additionally, they were rude and there location was suspect because it was a trailer out in the middle of nowhere. I won't be renting from them again. Routes Car Rental seemed like some fly-by-night outfit that wasn't very professional.

Pros: The team at the rental place was good. everything was good other than pick up location and coverage options. I would not use them again. who wants to walk 1/4 of a mile with luggage to catch a van and then pay $30.00 a day for a $3k deductible?

Cons: we got out to the shuttle pick up. the van driver drove by and told us to walk all the way down to the first door. then we had to walk even further to the end of the driveway.

Pros: When I picked up the rental the desk clerk provide me with a assesment of the car that was inaccurate. Stated there was no damage to the vehicle but upon inspection I found multiple discrepancies. Be sure that you inspect the vehicle closely. It appeared that the previous renter when off road with the vehicle.

Pros: Counter staff were friendly and helpful but i felt sorry for them - they were working with poor condition cars and tired, disappointed customers.

Cons: The car inventory was in a poor condition. Guys in front of me were only offered jeeps with severely cracked windshields. When offered next range up the cost was going to have to sit with the renters, not the company who were failing to repair cars between rentals. In my case the front bumper was damaged with a hole through it. Reassured that car fine. Driving through mountains (this is Denver) the wind meant we had a constant rattling noise and the metal sheared further into large rip in bumper

Cons: There needs to be better signage on the road at the airport to locate this rental company, it was difficult for me to find. All the other rental companies are listed on a large sign, with arrows pointing the right direction. except this one. It was like finding 9 & 3/4 on the Harry Potter movie.

Cons: The only downside is that they charge a $50 admin charge for toll roads and the area we traveled has toll roads so we either had to pay the admin fee on top of toll charges or drive the long way. This may sway our decision for future car rentals
